☀️🐶 HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR DOG OWNERS 🐶☀️

The UK heatwave is finally here… but while we might love the sunshine, hot weather can be extremely dangerous for our dogs 🥵🐾

Please take extra care during the warmer temperatures and keep these important safety tips in mind👇

🔥 Hot pavements can burn paws
If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws! Stick to grass where possible and avoid walking during the hottest parts of the day.

🚗 Cars heat up FAST
Even with windows open, cars can become dangerously hot within minutes. Never leave your dog in a parked car — not even “just for a minute”.

🌡️ Know the signs of heatstroke
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Lethargy
• Vomiting
• Wobbling or collapse
Heatstroke can become life-threatening very quickly, so always act fast and contact a vet immediately if you’re concerned.

🌅 Best times to walk your dog
✔️ Early morning
✔️ Late evening
❌ Avoid midday walks in peak heat
💧 Make sure your pets always have access to fresh water, shade, cooling mats, and plenty of rest during the heatwave.
