Meet Buddy the Golden Retriever!

Buddy has started hydrotherapy to enjoy some senior swims and to help him lose some additional weight.

Hydrotherapy is a fantastic form of exercise for senior dogs and those carrying a little extra weight. The buoyancy of the water supports the body, reducing the impact on joints while allowing dogs to exercise comfortably. Regular hydrotherapy helps improve muscle strength, maintain joint mobility, increase cardiovascular fitness, aid weight loss, and keep older dogs active. It’s a safe, enjoyable way to support both their physical health and overall wellbeing. 🐾💦

Buddy had his biggest supporters by his side during his first session, with his family cheering him on every step of the way. Their encouragement helped him relax and settle into his very first hydrotherapy experience. 🐶👏🏻

As the session went on, Buddy grew in confidence and did incredibly well. By the end, he looked like he was really enjoying his time in the pool, making the most of his swim and taking everything in his stride. 👏🏻❤️

We’re so proud of how well Buddy did during his first visit and can’t wait to watch him continue to build his fitness, confidence, and enjoy many more swims with us.

Welcome to the Paws in Motion family, Buddy! 🥰

Meet Hannibal the Labrador!

Now, don’t be fooled by his name... despite sounding fierce, Hannibal is one of the sweetest, softest dogs we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. We completely fell in love with him at first glance, and it didn’t take long for him to steal our hearts! 💖

Hannibal was an A* student during his very first hydrotherapy session and was an absolute superstar from start to finish. He took everything in his stride, happily completing laps of the pool while following his new favourite ball with enthusiasm. 🐾💦

During his rest breaks, Hannibal soaked up plenty of fuss, attention, and praise from the team before jumping straight back into his exercises with his usual happy attitude. 🫶🏻

We couldn’t have asked for a better first session, and we’re so excited to be part of Hannibal’s hydrotherapy journey. We can’t wait to watch him continue to grow in confidence and make fantastic progress over the coming weeks. 👏🏻

Welcome to the Paws in Motion family, Hannibal! 🥰

Meet Tilly the Labrador!

Tilly has started her hydrotherapy journey to help manage Elbow Dysplasia.

Hydrotherapy is a fantastic treatment option for dogs with Elbow Dysplasia. The buoyancy of the water reduces the weight placed on painful joints, allowing dogs to exercise comfortably while improving muscle strength, maintaining joint mobility, increasing range of motion, and supporting overall limb function. Regular hydrotherapy can also help reduce discomfort, improve fitness, and slow the progression of joint degeneration. 🐾💦

Tilly was an absolute superstar during her first session! She was happy to go with the flow and trusted our hydrotherapists to guide her every step of the way. 👏🏻❤️

Like many dogs experiencing hydrotherapy for the first time, Tilly was a little unsure about staying in the pool. This is completely natural, as most dogs instinctively enter the water to retrieve something before heading straight back out again. Learning that it’s okay to stay in the pool and relax is one of the first lessons we work on during an initial session.

With her owner close by offering reassurance, Tilly soon began to settle and enjoy the experience. We also used a mixture of toys and tasty treats to encourage her around the pool, helping to build her confidence and make the session as positive and enjoyable as possible. 🐶🫶🏻

We’re so proud of how well Tilly did during her first visit and can’t wait to see her confidence continue to grow over the coming weeks.

Welcome to the Paws in Motion family, Tilly! 🥰

Meet Willow the Golden Retriever!

Everyone, say hello to the gorgeous Willow, who has recently started her hydrotherapy journey following TPLO surgery. 🩺❤️

Hydrotherapy is an excellent rehabilitation tool for dogs recovering from TPLO surgery. The buoyancy of the water reduces the weight placed on their joints, allowing dogs to exercise comfortably while improving muscle strength, increasing joint mobility, and enhancing balance and coordination. Regular hydrotherapy sessions can also help reduce stiffness and support a smoother, faster recovery. 🐾💦

Willow was an absolute superstar during her very first session! Like many dogs, she was a little unsure about walking down the ramp into the water. This is completely normal, as it can be quite daunting experiencing the pool for the first time.

Once she was in the water, Willow showed us that she has a lovely natural swimming ability. She was lacking a little confidence and found it difficult to stay focused. We invited her owner to get involved, offering plenty of reassurance and encouragement, which helped Willow settle into the experience and begin to relax. 🐶🫶🏻

Willow will be attending regular hydrotherapy sessions as part of her rehabilitation programme. These sessions will not only support her physical recovery after surgery but will also continue to build her confidence, helping her become happier and more relaxed in the water with each visit.

We’re so proud of how well Willow did during her first session, and we can’t wait to watch her progress over the coming weeks. 👏🏻

Welcome to the Paws in Motion family, Willow! 🥰

Meet Rosie the Cockapoo!

Rosie is attending hydrotherapy to help manage a luxating patella, a condition where the kneecap slips out of its normal position. This can cause discomfort, limping, and reduced mobility. 🐶🩺

Hydrotherapy is an excellent way to support dogs with this condition, as the buoyancy of the water reduces pressure on the joints while allowing them to exercise safely. Swimming helps to strengthen the muscles that support the knee, improve joint stability, increase range of motion, and maintain fitness without the high-impact forces associated with exercising on land. It can also help reduce pain and improve overall comfort. 🐾💦

Rosie was a little nervous during her first session, which is completely understandable. Thankfully, she had plenty of her family there to support and encourage her every step of the way. 👏🏻

She found the new experience quite daunting, but she was incredibly brave. We took things at Rosie’s pace, offering lots of reassurance and support while beginning to build her confidence in the water. For some of our more nervous clients, it can take a few sessions before they start to feel comfortable, and that’s perfectly normal. Every dog is different, and we’re always happy to let them progress at a pace that suits them. 💖

We’re so proud of how well Rosie did during her first visit and look forward to watching her confidence grow with each session. We’re sure she’ll soon discover just how enjoyable hydrotherapy can be!

Welcome to the Paws in Motion family, Rosie! 🥰

Meet Bug the Pug!

Bug has started hydrotherapy to help manage a condition called subarachnoid diverticulum, a spinal condition that can affect the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, leading to weakness, coordination problems, and changes in mobility.

Bug did incredibly well during his very first session. He was such a brave boy! His swimming technique was lovely—nice and calm—and it was wonderful to see him begin to relax and enjoy the warmth of the water during his rest periods. 🐾💦

We’re looking forward to watching Bug grow in confidence and strength over the coming weeks. Hydrotherapy will be a fantastic addition to his routine, helping to manage his condition, keep him comfortable, and support his quality of life. 🐶❤️

Meet Monty the Springer Spaniel!

A big welcome to handsome Monty, who recently joined us for his first hydrotherapy session!

Monty is usually a very confident boy, but like many dogs, trying something completely new can feel a little overwhelming. He arrived feeling nervous and unsure about what to expect, so we invited his owner to get involved in the session to provide plenty of reassurance and help build his confidence in the pool. 🐶❤️

Once in the water, Monty showed us that he has a lovely swimming technique. He’s calm, relaxed in the water, and moves really well – he just needs a little more confidence, which we’re sure will come with time and positive experiences. 🐾💦

We’re so proud of how well Monty did during his first session, and we can’t wait to see his confidence grow with each visit. 👏🏻

Meet Daisy the Bichon Frisé x Poodle!

We’re so excited to introduce the lovely Daisy, who has recently started hydrotherapy with us for some fun swims! 👏🏻

Daisy is a very active girl who loves taking part in agility, and her owner wanted to introduce hydrotherapy as a new and enjoyable activity that also complements her agility training. Swimming is a fantastic way to help build strength, improve fitness, and support injury prevention while being gentle on the joints. 🐾💦

Like many dogs, Daisy was a little timid when she first stepped into the pool. But with plenty of tasty treats (and a few pieces of sausage!), she soon began to relax and enjoy the experience. Her owner was by her side throughout, offering reassurance and helping to build Daisy’s confidence in the water. 🐶❤️

We’re so proud of how well Daisy did during her first session and are confident that hydrotherapy is going to become a fantastic addition to her routine. We can’t wait to watch her confidence continue to grow—we’re sure she’ll be loving her swims in no time! 👍🏻💖

Welcome to the Paws in Motion family, Daisy! 🥰
