introducing Louie.

Louie has arrived seeking rest and recuperation. He hails from a nearby farm park, where he has received exceptional care while experiencing some health challenges. Despite various tests and medication trials, we have yet to determine the precise cause of his condition. I now suspect an injury to his back or hips, which has caused him to become unsteady, possibly due to a playful interaction with a field mate. This is our current working hypothesis.

Louie has come to Tawnymeade for more one-on-one care and is buddied up with the wonderful Basil. Louie and Basil share a history, having grown up together with only a few months separating them. We are uncertain if they recognize each other, as they were young crias the last time they met. However, both are quickly becoming good friends once more.

We are hopeful that Louie will make a full recovery and be able to return to his devoted fans and friends.

We are pleased to offer an engaging and educational experience for the summer holidays.

We invite you to participate in an alpaca experience.

This 60-minute activity includes a guided walk with our alpacas across our scenic grounds, where you will learn fascinating facts about alpacas and llamas. Following the walk, you will have the opportunity to hand-feed our herd, including our friendly llama, Skye, who enjoys interacting with guests and posing for photos.

To ensure a relaxing and personalized experience, we limit the walking group to a maximum of six alpacas.

We recommend booking in advance, as availability is limited.

Current availability for August at 1:00 PM: Saturdays: August 9th, 16th, and 30th;
Mondays: August 11th, 18th, and 25th;
Tuesdays: August 12th and 26th;
Fridays: August 1st, 8th, 15th, and 29th.

Basil and Omar met Skirbeck Court residents on a lovely, sunny day. We love seeing the smiles these boys bring to the residents. Our second time at the wonderful Skirbeck Court.

Dynamite is off to a good start. The first time he has met a girl and after a slow start he acted like a pro. Very pleased with him. Roll on next year to see Dynamite's cria's.

It's been so hot, we've been stuck inside except to water the alpacas. So today, we finally got the table up and started skirting some fleeces. Dynamite's fleece is on the table.
