A little moment of peace in the salon 🤍

It’s definitely not always this calm 😂 but these are the moments that make me stop and appreciate just how lucky I am to do what I do.

Nearly 4 years of Bath & Bark, and I still get moments where I think… this is actually my job 🥹

From nervous dogs slowly learning to trust me, to the ones who practically fall asleep on the table, getting to build those relationships with your dogs is honestly one of my favourite parts of grooming.

There’s been plenty of chaos, stress, tears and “WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT?!” moments along the way 😂 but I genuinely wouldn’t change it.

🥈 2nd – Breed Switch

This was my second time entering Breed Switch. Last time I got a special mention but didn’t place, so I was really happy to see a 2nd this time 🥹

🏅 4th – Asian Fusion Mediates

My first time entering a higher class, so I honestly didn’t know what to expect! Really pleased to come away with 4th in an extremely talented class.

Just trying to keep pushing myself, try different things and learn from every comp. It’s nice seeing little improvements along the way ❤️

Today was a day I’ll never forget. ❤️

Most of my clients know Skittle as my boy, but very few have ever met him. Groomers know I have three poodles, but they’ve only ever seen two because Skittle has never been confident with being groomed so he always stays at home.

When the opportunity came up to learn breed standard Poodle grooming from Blake Hernandez, I couldn’t say no. Asian Fusion has been my comfort zone, so stepping into the world of breed standard was completely new to me. I took Skittle with me all the way to Falkirk, Scotland hoping we’d both learn something.

Today we both stepped outside our comfort zones. Skittle stood confidently in a completely new environment, surrounded by unfamiliar people and dogs, and trusted me every step of the way. I challenged myself with a style that’s completely different to what I’m used to, and we both came away with so much more confidence and knowledge.

Skittle is my soul dog, and today meant so much to me to have him by my side. He showed me he’s ready. For the first time, I can honestly say we’ll be stepping into the competition ring together. ❤️

Safe to say this wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card… 🥹

I’m still in complete shock to have been named a finalist in not one, but three High Achievement Awards.

I genuinely never thought I’d be here. Four years ago I was terrified of owners not liking my grooms, and now I’m somehow a finalist alongside groomers I really look up to.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of my journey so far. My clients, friends, family, and everyone who’s supported me through competitions and believed in me, even when I didn’t always believe in myself.

Roll on the awards in October… whatever happens, I’m already over the moon and Good luck to all the other finalists ❤️

Can we just appreciate how much preparation went into this little one’s first groom? 🥹🐾

Before puppy was even brought home, their owner got in touch to ask what a full groom would involve, what I’d need from them and how to start desensitising from day one. As a dog trainer, they understood that grooming isn’t something dogs just “put up with” — it’s a skill they learn.

This is what consistency, patience and teamwork can do.

The best first grooms don’t start on the grooming table, they start at home. Get your puppy used to being handled, having their feet touched, their face held gently, hearing different noises and being brushed. Find a groomer before your puppy comes home so you can work together and give them the best possible start.

I wish more people realised how much of a difference this makes. A confident puppy grows into a confident adult, and grooming becomes something they can cope with rather than fear. 🫶

Thank you for trusting me with your gorgeous pup from the very beginning. It really does make all the difference.
