Please take care of your dogs in this heat. Also please don't leave them in unattended cars - whatever the temperature outside, it is double that in the car.

We all love the warm weather🌞, but to a dog it can be very dangerous. Some advice to share to keep them safe during the coming Hot Days:

20-23°C: Start to take precautions. Stick to shaded areas, keep walks short, and bring water.

24-26°C: 😳 This is risky territory. Only take your dog out if it’s absolutely necessary, and make it a quick, shady stroll.

Above 27°C: 🥵 It’s too dangerous to walk your dog. Stay indoors or let them relax in a cool, shaded area instead.

Unless absolutely necessary, leave them at home - much safer, as Heat Stroke can kill.

LOVABLE LURCHERS: Over the past few years, we have had a significant increase in lurcher-type dogs being found as strays or abandoned, and this is likely linked to illegal hunting practices. Illegal hunting activities such as hare coursing and lamping are forms of poaching where dogs are used to chase and kill.

Fact: Lurchers are incredibly rewarding companions for those who take the time to understand their unique needs.
With patience, structure and a lot of love, these beautiful dogs have the potential to thrive in a home environment and become deeply devoted members of the family. Every small step they take in their new life is a victory – and a testament to their resilience. If you adopt, you really will be transforming their lives as well as enriching your own.

What's there to say about a Tuxedo Cat: they are friendly, most have an easy going temperament, playful, talkative, loyal and can be dog-like!

Well take a look at these beauties all waiting to find their purrfect forever home: Michael, Marble, Chezzy, Kitkat, Poppy & Nori, Billy & Teddy, Alfie, Ace and not forgetting Zen & Sage (who have been with us way too long now!)😔
Some are bounded pairs, so we would prefer them to be rehomed together.😻

We always love hearing how our rescued animals are getting along, as that is what makes what we do so very worth while😁

Andy Burnett said, "we adopted the lovely Tessi (formerly Teddy) and Belle from you in February 2025, just thought you might like an update and some pictures, showing that they are living their best life and in perfect health! Tessi is still very nervous around new people but they are so happy and we could not be happier either"

They were recently entered into a dog show, where Belle won 'Prettiest Bitch' and Tessi won 'Best Rescue'🥰

Thank you so very much Andy for adopting these two beauties and giving them their prefect forever home. Congratulations on their show.
