PLEASE PUT FRESH WATER OUT FOR WILDLIFE

Please use shallow containers placed at ground level so they are accessible to all.πŸ¦πŸ¦‘πŸ¦”πŸπŸ¦ŠπŸ±πŸ¦β€β¬›πŸ‡
Position the containers in shady, quiet areas.
Place rocks in the water to prevent accidental drownings.
Place some pebbles in a shallow dish to allow butterflies, bees and other insects to get a much needed drink too. πŸ¦‹πŸžπŸͺ°πŸ¦—
Change water daily, after cleaning the container to prevent the spread of disease.

Sadly some of our wildlife, especially the young are dying due to dehydration - we can all work together to do our bit to help 😘

A helpful guide for all dog owners, as to when it is dangerous to take your dog out for a walk. Even when the temperature is 20-23 degrees, some dogs are at risk of getting heat stroke if exercised too rigorously, have breathing difficulties or suffer from an underlying health condition.

If in doubt, do the "Pavement Test" - put the palm of your hand or bare foot on the ground. If too hot for you, it is way too hot to walk your dog on the pavement. No dog will die from missing a walk.

We suggest the best time to walk your dog is early in the morning or late evening when the temperatures are cooler. Choose shady paths and make sure to have some water on you.

Cats and other animals too can be affected by Heat Stroke, so we advise making sure they are all given plenty of clean fresh water and shade.

A big thank you to everyone who came to visit our stand yesterday at the Carnival Fun Day.πŸ’ž It was so lovely to have so many people want to know about the animals available to adopt, as well as learn more about all the wonderful work we do.🧑
Just under Β£200 was raised, which will help feed all the animals we have, especially all the cats & kittens.

Wanted!!

3 lovely homes, for 3 lovely dogs.

Bear: A beautiful and cuddly Lurcher that wants to be with a family again. She loves people and dogs and running really fast.

Joker: A wonderful Whippet with a lot of bouncy energy. He loves to sit on the sofa with his humans. He isn't that fond of other dogs, as he wasn't socialised as a pup, but is improving greatly meeting new dogs every day.

Finn: A cute but independent Jack Russel that wants to play tug o' war and carry around anything that squeaks. He knows what he wants, and it isn't cuddles, it is balls to chase!!

Furcules has found his forever home after a long stay at the arc.

We couldn't have done it without our amazing team of volunteers that helped him to get used to strangers and to become a big soppy boy.

We get regular updates and are so happy to hear about him and all the animals that have been adopted from us over the years.

Hello friends,

We would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who has kindly donated to help with our vet bills. So far Β£853.00 has been raised to help with our operations.πŸ₯°πŸ§‘
Unfortunately, we still have a way to go to cover our Β£3,200 vet bills, 😒 so if you could help in anyway or share our story with your friends, it would be very much appreciated by us both.πŸ‘
Love and licks from me Mr. Fox and my mate Freddie πŸ’ž
Every little helps us continue to do the work we do to save all the animals that come into ARC.

Kitten season is here

The warm weather opens the beautiful spring buds, birds sing joyfully and the familiar sound of lawn mowers and sweet smell of cut grass encompasses our senses. At this magical time of year also comes new life and unfortunately unwanted, abandoned, orphaned and feral kittens. Many of these kittens are unwell and needing urgent verterinary care for cat flu, conjunctivitis, worm infestation, fleas and ticks.

Please support us with our veterinary fees and support our early neutering programme for young cats and kittens.

Please click here to donate via our secure donations page www.animalrescue.org.uk/donations

Thank you so much, we are so lucky to have such kind supporters.
