🐾 This is exactly why we hold Paw Care Sunday.

The mat pictured was removed from between a dog’s paw pads.

It was large, tight against the skin and would have been extremely uncomfortable, if not painful, to walk on.

The area had become so sensitive that the dog reacted very strongly when we tried to examine and remove it, meaning we needed to use a muzzle to keep both the dog and groomer safe.

Matting between the paw pads can easily go unnoticed. Add in long hair, moisture, dirt and grass seeds and those little spaces between the toes and pads can quickly become uncomfortable.

Tomorrow, Sunday 9th August, 9am to 1pm, is our Paw Care Sunday.

Ideal for dogs who:

🐾 Don’t visit a groomer regularly
🐾 Haven’t been groomed for a while
🐾 Have hairy feet or pads
🐾 Spend lots of time walking through grass and countryside
🐾 Simply need their paws checked and tidied

A few minutes of preventative paw care can help avoid something becoming a much bigger and more uncomfortable problem.

No full groom needed. Just pop in and let us take care of those paws. 👑🐾

👑 This is Milo, a sweet little Pomchi who works a therapy dog, helping people with dementia in his spare time. Today he visited us for his first professional groom and enjoyed the Nagayu CO2 treatment to help with his dry skin. He has been a star 🤩 Thank you Julie for the wonderful review.

👑 This is 8 month old Mikey and today he visited us for his first groom. It's not the neatest by any means but Mikey isn't one for keeping still for long 😂

Today was about getting his coat to a manageable length and keeping the grooming experience positive.

Our next **Paw Care Sunday** is taking place on **Sunday 9th August**, giving your dog the perfect opportunity for a quick paw refresh.

Ideal for dogs in between grooms, those that haven't visited the groomers for a while, or dogs that rarely need a full groom but would benefit from a little routine paw maintenance.
