If you love dogs and have knowledge and experience working with dogs this might just be your perfect job!!
As you can imagine there is a lot to learn, but you will receive comprehensive training which will be ongoing (There will always be lots to learn no matter how experienced you are)
The job is highly rewarding, with lots of love, cuddles, fun and games, but also has a serious side to it. You will be expected to adhere to all training, health & safety and animal welfare procedures.
It is also quite physically demanding with lots of lifting, carrying, bending and cleaning. You will be required to stay active with the dogs in your care, engaging with them, playing with them, conducting basic training, taking part in activities and most importantly ensuring their safety at all times. You should have a good practical understanding of canine behaviour, a free playing environment and have hands-on experience with groups of free playing dogs.
For the right person, this is a chance to really get to know, care for and love the dogs in our care and is an incredibly rewarding role.
Some highlights:
🐶Meeting and greeting clients
🐶Thorough paperwork completion to regulations
🐶Conduct safe handling and management dogs
🐶Centre hygiene / environmental enrichment
🐶Follow the correct processes & procedures at the centre
🐶Carry out routine daily health checks on the dogs and report any physical and behavioural change changes to Management
🐶Excellent understanding of dog/animal welfare and health safety laws
🐶Excellent communication skills
🐶Show a proven history, through references, of your reliability, trustworthiness, and good organisation skills & time management.
This position is 20 - 30 hours per week 2-3 shifts, fixed days.
Level 2 in Animal Welfare preferred-will be keen to invest to get the correct candidate to Level 3
