Why You Should Never Let Your Bengal Roam Outdoors Unsupervised
As the breeder behind Majestic Meows, I take pride in producing healthy, well-socialized Bengal kittens—genetically tested and raised with love and care. But our job doesn’t stop at handing you a beautiful kitten—our mission is to educate and empower you to keep them safe, healthy, and happy for life.
That starts with this critical message:
👉 Please don’t let your Bengal cat roam outside unsupervised.
🚗 The Dangers Are Real:
Hit by a Car: Traffic is one of the top killers of outdoor cats. Bengals are fast and curious, but no match for a moving vehicle.
Infectious Diseases: Outdoor cats can contract serious, often fatal illnesses such as:
Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV)
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)
Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP)
Upper respiratory infections
Parasites (fleas, ticks, worms)
Fights with Other Animals: Bengals are confident and territorial—traits that put them at risk of getting into fights with feral cats, dogs, raccoons, or worse. These can lead to wounds, abscesses, and transmission of disease.
Theft & Getting Lost: Bengals are exotic-looking and expensive—making them a target for theft. Others simply get lost, trapped, or never return home.
Poisoning: Outdoor environments expose your cat to harmful chemicals, antifreeze, rodent bait, or toxic plants.
✅ What You Can Do:
If you want to enrich your Bengal’s life safely:
Leash-train them for supervised walks
Build a catio (enclosed patio)
Offer window perches and tons of indoor stimulation (climbers, toys, and playtime)
Your Bengal is not just a pet—they are a result of careful breeding, health testing, and responsible lineage management. We’ve done our part. Now it’s your turn to give them the long, vibrant, and safe life they deserve.
With care,
Majestic Meows
