At Leicester Animal Rescue they take amazing care of all the dogs that are brought into them. I’m lucky enough to get to groom them and get to really know their personalities and story’s.
But they are all looking for their forever home. Every dog deserves a loving home and they are eager to become a part of a family.

Just wanted to also thank all the lovely owners I had in today. I love being able to get to know you better and really makes me happy to hear your dogs love coming in for their grooms🥰

What I do to help these dogs feel comfortable while being groomed🐾

Freya is an older lady so I tend to let her lye down most of the time until it’s time to do her underneath which I use the belly strap to support her🐶

Paddy isn’t a fan of his front feet so I tend to do bit by bit so he doesn’t feel overwhelmed with me holding onto his foot. The treats really help with this cheeky chaps grooms.

Bertie is not a fan of the dryer or his nails. I tend to do that nails straight away so it gets it done and he doesn’t have to think about it for the rest of the groom. With the drying I work from the back to front so it eases him init to it and mostly use the slow dryer which he doesn’t mind having on.

You have to adapt to a lot of grooms and sometimes it takes a few gos when you first meet a new dog to know what is right for them and what works for myself and the dogs safety☺️
