We had George the Cheeky Choodle in for a well overdue groom yesterday. Thankfully he can now see out of his eyes. We gave his owner some important tips on grooming his coat between grooms to avoid any matting that can be common with this type of dog hair. We are always happy and willing to offer advice to pet owners regarding the best groom and methods to keep the groom looking at its best between visits. We are open for business, operating under government guidelines. If your dog is in need of a January groom, please get in touch.

We all know we should do it, but what does grooming really do for your pet besides making them look pretty?

In general terms, a clean pet is a happy pet. No hair in the eyes, clean fur and skin, clipped nails all make for a pet that is comfortable and better behaved.

But adverse, serious side effects occur when we neglect to groom our pets. If we don’t tend to our pet’s grooming needs on a regular basis, we encourage a variety of issues which can lead to expensive vet bills and difficult or even aggressive behaviour from your pet.

As dog owners ourselves, we know how important it is to choose the right dog groomer. At TidyDog, if desired, we are happy for our dog owners to wait within salon whilst their dogs are groomed. This is sometimes very beneficial for the first time groom with us, giving comfort and reassurance to both pet and owner. We are now taking bookings for Christmas.
