👥 Seeing double and getting told off by Luna & Vesper! 😹
I have had another repeat booking this last weekend for two gorgeous sisters, Vesper and Luna. There is just one tiny catch—they look so identical that I only ever see Luna! (Or at least, I think it’s Luna!) 🐈‍⬛🔎
Luna has the most hilarious, quirky personality. She will trot right up to me looking completely friendly, but the moment I speak to her, she lets out a loud, sassy "hiss-meow" to swear right at me! 🤬💨 I'm assured that this is just her unique way of chatting, but it certainly keeps me on my toes! Cats are full of attitude and quirky communication styles. As a dedicated feline specialist, I don't mind a bit of sass—I love them exactly as they are, grumbles and all. 🥣✨

🐾❄️Body:For today’s Throwback Thursday, I’m taking a little trip down memory lane to February!Here is my gorgeous black Greyhound, Mac, and his absolute best mate Norman (the handsome sandy gentleman next to him). This was taken during the monthly Greyhound Walk at Carsington Water. As you can see, they were both proudly sporting their winter coats to brave the Derbyshire chill! 🧥💨As former kennel mates from the Greyhound Trust, these walks are so important for them. It’s a wonderful chance to catch up, stretch those long legs, and socialise with lots of other retired racers.While Anne’s Pet Care Service keeps me busy with feline favourites like Cav and Mason, I am always out and about with dogs, too! Sadly, when they both passed away, it left 300 magnificent Arabians needing homes.Because of my lifelong dedication to horses—including my beloved late Arabian, Eldor, who was my absolute best friend for 27 incredible years—I reached out to the estate. 🚨 DOG HEATWAVE SAFETY: Mac has the right idea! ☀️🐾
​Swipe or see below for why our best friends need extra care today. While Mac is busy demonstrating the perfect way to handle the Derbyshire heatwave (professional couch potato mode: ON!), it's a vital reminder of how quickly the sun can become dangerous for our pups..

Here are my top safety reminders for the day:
🐾 The 5-Second Tarmac Test: Touch the pavement with the back of your hand. If it’s too hot for you to hold it there for 5 seconds, it’s far too hot for their sensitive paws!
⏰ Walkies: Strictly early morning or late evening. Midday walks are a no-go right now.
💧 Hydration: Keep fresh water flowing, use cool mats, and avoid artificial grass (it traps heat like crazy!).
🐶 Extra Care: Flat-faced breeds (like Pugs and Frenchies), senior dogs, puppies, and thick-coated breeds need us to be extra vigilant today.

🚲 Meet Cavendish (Cav)—the deaf senior cat who insists on being a parrot! 🦜
🐾My brand-new Anne’s Pet Care Service uniform arrived today, and I was so excited to get some official photos during my morning visit with the gorgeous Cav.The only problem? Cav had other ideas!As a completely deaf senior boy, Cav relies heavily on touch and closeness. The moment I walked in, he absolutely inhaled his breakfast, did a happy dance, and then decided his favourite spot in the world was perched right on my left shoulder—completely blocking my shiny new business logo! 😂Once he finished his shoulder cuddles, it was time for his favourite part of the day. Because he is far too active to stay inside and sleep, I let him out for his daily outdoor adventures, and I'll be heading back later this afternoon to tuck him safely back inside for the evening. 🏡🌙Caring for a deaf cat takes a specialised touch—using heavy footsteps so the floorboards create gentle vibrations to let him know I'm there, and matching his high energy.
