It’s Women’s Cricket Week, and Bedale ladies were out showing exactly what sport is all about at the weekend when we headed to Northallerton for our 4th league game of the season 🏏

After winning the toss, Jess put us into the field. It was hot and windy, and as usual Northallerton came out strong, scoring quickly, but once we settled, we pulled it back well and kept them to 311.Then it was our turn to bat, knowing we’d need our strongest performance of the season. Every pair built the score steadily, finding the gaps and running the singles. As always, we gave it everything, but finished just short on 305. Is it worse to lose by 6 or 60 runs… the jury is still out!

A glitch on Play‑Cricket means some of our batting figures are missing but a big well done to Heather H & Angela who both took 2 wickets each. Another close game with our friends down the road, maybe we can flip the result when we meet again in the 100 comp next week 💪
