🌿 Thursday Thrills 🌿

We kicked off at a more normal time today — and our furry CEO was definitely making the most of the extra time in bed! 😴 We had a couple of errands to run before walks (the car needed a quick check-up), but Nala didn’t mind one bit — she loved being fussed over by the mechanics while supervising from her comfy spot in the car. Win-win! 🚗🐾

Once our walks began, so did the rain 🌧️ — but luckily, we stuck to woodland routes where the tree canopy kept us mostly dry. Sniffaris were in full swing, with noses to the ground and tails in the air!

As the sun peeked out just before lunch, things took on a more relaxed vibe. The girls decided it was time for a meandering wander at their own pace, and Princess Alice made the most of the dry spell for a gentle stroll, soaking it all up like royalty 👑 (she really isn’t one for the rain).

We finished up with the girls gorging themselves on all the scents in their garden before venturing down the old footpath... for about five minutes. They clearly weren’t risking getting caught in the next downpour. The side-eyes I got when I said the rain had passed said it all! 😂

Our furry CEO rejoined for our last woodland walk of the day, helping keep her friends in check and ensuring everyone — including herself — got absolutely covered in grass seeds 🌾 (good thing we always have a brush on hand!).

Everyone got a towel down and brush-off where needed before heading home happy. Paws crossed for sunshine tomorrow! 🤞☀️

🌿 Wednesday Wanders 🌿

It was a busy one today — an early start and a late finish, but packed full of happy tails and muddy paws! 🐾

Our morning walks took us deep into the peaceful woodlands, where everyone got to enjoy doing what comes naturally. Sniffaris were plentiful, games were in full swing, and of course Stanley was on his mission to find the perfect stick (I think he might have found a contender today!).

The afternoon was just as lively, with plenty of foraging and playtime. Our furry CEO joined in for a while, hanging out with her friends and sharing her favourite treats. We explored the old footpath with some of our walking buddies, always on the lookout for new little adventures.

We rounded off the evening with a calm and relaxed vibe. Nala paired up with her friend Rex for some well-earned frolicking in the fields, while Blitz and Kimba enjoyed their own peaceful solo walks — taking in the quiet, but still keeping me on my toes.

A full day, a happy crew, and hopefully more sunshine tomorrow! ☀️

🐾 How to Recognise Signs of Stress During Walks 🐾

Not every walk is a walk in the park—sometimes our dogs can feel stressed. 🐶 Recognising the signs of stress helps you support your dog and make walks more enjoyable. Here’s what to look out for:

Excessive Panting
If your dog is panting heavily without physical exertion or warm weather, they could be feeling stressed or overwhelmed.

Pinned Ears or Whale Eye
Watch their body language. Flattened ears or showing the whites of their eyes (whale eye) are signs they’re uncomfortable.

Avoidance Behaviours
If your dog is turning away, sniffing excessively, or trying to hide, they might be avoiding a stressor in their environment.

Tense Body Language
A stiff tail or rigid posture can indicate unease. Some dogs may also freeze when they’re unsure.

Barking or Lunging
Reactivity, like barking or lunging, can often stem from stress. It’s their way of saying they need space.

Excessive Sniffing
While sniffing is normal, overdoing it can be a coping mechanism when they feel stressed or unsure.

Yawning or Lip Licking
Frequent yawning or licking their lips can be subtle signs your dog is feeling anxious.

What to Do:
✔️ Give Them Space – Move away from the trigger to a calmer area.
✔️ Use Positive Reinforcement – Reward calm behaviour and offer reassurance.
✔️ Shorten the Walk – Sometimes it’s best to head home if your dog seems overwhelmed.
✔️ Stay Calm – Your energy affects your dog; staying calm helps them relax.

Every dog has off days—what’s most important is recognising their signals and adjusting to their needs. 🐾

🌿 Tuesday Trails 🌿

We kicked off earlier than planned today after an emergency call from one of our lovely clients — and of course, we always do our best to accommodate when we can. Our furry CEO was more than happy to get an earlier start (especially when she realised it meant extra treats along the way!). 🐾💖

She joined in on most of our walks today, taking her quality control duties very seriously… though we suspect she was more focused on making sure she got plenty of fuss! She even helped keep Mokee in check (who was having one of those days where listening wasn’t high on her priority list). We’ve all been there, Mokee — no judgement here!

The weather couldn’t make up its mind — one minute sunshine, the next a shower — but that didn’t stop the fun. We stuck to the woodland for shelter, enjoyed peaceful trails, and made the most of the scenery. 🌳 Lincoln’s favourite part? Foraging, of course! He was on top form, even beating Nala to a couple of treats (don’t worry, she adjusted her tactics quickly 😉).

With the rain bringing out all the fresh scents, our walks took a more chilled and slow-paced vibe today, giving everyone the chance to really take in the views and the calm.

Another busy day tomorrow — paws crossed for dry weather! 🌤️

💬 Question of the Day: Is your dog a “listen every time” angel… or more of a “selective hearing” expert like Mokee today? Let us know in the comments! 🐕😂

☀️ Funday Friday ☀️

We kicked off the day bright and early with our furry CEO leading the way on her morning walk with Rex — chasing deer scents through the fields and splashing down by the stream. 🌿💦 She always makes sure her friends start the day with smiles and wagging tails.

Once she was dropped home for a well-earned rest, it was on to a day full of solo walks. We enjoyed plenty of Sniffaris, foraging, and playtime for those lucky enough to have company waiting at home.

The girls even made sure I could sneak in a quick 5-minute rest on their visit — sitting in their garden for a little breather before we set off on a gentle grazing walk. We kept things safe when sharing the path with a horse ahead, and of course, there were plenty of treats and happy tails along the way.

We’re all set for a busy weekend with our Puppy Academy tomorrow and catching up with our one-to-one clients. Tonight will be a night of preparation… and maybe a cuddle or two with the CEO! 🐾💗

💬 Question of the Day: Does your dog prefer to chase scents, splash in the water, or just enjoy a calm grazing walk? Let us know in the comments! 🐶👇

🌿 Thursday Trails 🌿

One of our lighter days today meant our furry CEO decided a little extra time in bed was well-deserved! We had a later start, and she joined us on the morning walks, making sure to make the most of it. There was frolicking in the fields and even helping Rex with some polite introductions to new dogs. He’s slowly getting more comfortable with calm, positive interactions — proud of you, Rex! 🐾

After dropping Nala home, we continued onto our solo walks. Kyah opted for a dark woodland route (her favourite!) with a stroll down by the stream — though she knows to keep well away from the edge.

The rest of the day had a lovely chilled vibe, with foraging and Sniffaris all round. The trails were quiet, so everyone got to choose their own pace and routines.

Our furry CEO then enjoyed her own solo afternoon walk, following her nose at her own pace — her favourite kind of stroll! Then it was back to bed for her while I caught up on the less glamorous side of running the business: orders, invoices, and stock checks.

Busy day tomorrow, so here’s hoping for good weather! 🌤️

💬 Question of the Day: Does your dog prefer a woodland walk, a field adventure, or a sniff around the streets? Share in the comments — we’d love to hear!

🌿 Wednesday Wanders 🌿

We kicked off the day with some fun and games with Rex — and he even made a new friend on his walk! He was very excited to tell his mum all about it when he got home. 🐾💌

Our furry CEO was absolutely over the moon to see Tuppy back after her little holiday. The pair wasted no time running amok on their walk before she joined one of our pups to help with calmness work. Sniffaris and foraging were definitely the theme of the morning.

Alice is still enjoying the full pamper treatment while she recovers — and we can’t blame her, who doesn’t love a bit of TLC? 🛏️🐶

At lunchtime, Nala headed home for a well-earned rest while I finished up some solo walks. Light rain didn’t stop us — there were wagging tails, plenty of foraging, and lots of happy energy.

To round off the day, our furry CEO came back out for a teatime stroll with Rex. They enjoyed a gentle graze in the fields and some foraging near the stream, ending the day with smiles all round.

Here’s hoping the rain clears up for tomorrow! 🌦️

🐾 How to Manage Barking on Walks 🐾

Does your dog bark at everything during walks—other dogs, people, or even the wind? While barking is a natural behaviour, it can make walks stressful. Here’s how to help your dog stay calm and focused:

Understand the Cause
Barking can stem from excitement, fear, or frustration. Pay attention to what triggers your dog to better address the behaviour.

Practise Focus Cues
Teach commands like “look at me” or “watch” at home first. Use these cues to redirect your dog’s attention away from triggers during walks.

Create Distance
If a trigger is too overwhelming, increase the distance between your dog and the distraction. Gradually reduce this space as they become more confident.

Reward Calm Behaviour
Bring high-value treats and reward your dog for staying calm when they see a potential trigger. Timing is key—reward before the barking starts!

Use Positive Reinforcement
Never punish your dog for barking—it can increase stress. Instead, focus on rewarding quiet behaviour to encourage calmness.

Stick to Quiet Routes
Choose less busy paths while working on training to reduce triggers and set your dog up for success.

Stay Calm
Your dog mirrors your emotions, so staying calm helps them relax. Avoid tension on the lead, which can add to their anxiety.

Be Patient
Managing barking takes time and consistency. Celebrate small wins, like reduced barking or shorter bursts.

Barking is your dog’s way of communicating. By addressing the cause and teaching alternative behaviours, you’ll create calmer, more enjoyable walks for both of you! 🐾

🌿 Tuesday Trails 🌿

With the holidays in full swing, today was a lighter one — which meant our furry CEO got to enjoy a solo morning stroll in the rain. Of course, she wore her gorgeous new raincoat… you know you’re a dog mum when your dog’s rain gear is better than yours! ☔🐾

Once we started our client walks, the rain cleared, leaving the air fresh and full of new scents. Perfect Sniffari weather! There was plenty of foraging and even a bit of free run time for those allowed.

The girls made the most of their large garden before heading out on a grazing walk down the old public footpath — tails wagging the whole way. And to round off the day, our furry CEO came back out for the last walk with her buddy Rex, making sure to check in after he’d had a couple of days off.

Here’s hoping the rain stays away tomorrow — it’s going to be a busy one!

🌿 Mellow Monday 🌿

We kicked off the morning at a much more sensible time of 9am. Our furry CEO decided that after yesterday’s big hike, she absolutely deserved a lie-in — so she stayed home to recharge while I headed out to see our friends.

The day had a wonderfully chilled vibe from the very start. Jax enjoyed a peaceful wander, finding that everyone else must have had the same idea about sleeping in — not another soul in sight on his walk. 🌳 Kyah kept things relaxed too, taking in the woodland scenery. Her mummy got some beautiful pictures, and thankfully she didn’t try to drag me down any banks to get to the water this time!

The surprise of the day came courtesy of Lincoln’s walking buddy, who we found fast asleep on the couch after his walk. Since we had a quiet schedule, we gently woke her up and took her for her very own solo stroll. I think she enjoyed not having to keep up with Lincoln’s energy!

As for Stanley… well, he spent his entire walk on the never-ending hunt for the perfect stick — because why not? The girls stuck to the chilled holiday vibes, making the most of their large garden. There was foraging, a few giggles, and Lyra was well and truly ready for a nap by the time we finished. 💤

Once I was home, our furry CEO decided she was ready for her own solo walk with mummy. She got to pick the route, found herself a ball, and then decided we absolutely needed to head home. A true diva move.

Holiday vibes were definitely in full swing today — here’s hoping the chilled pace continues tomorrow!

🌟 Funday Friday 🌟

It was a full day of fun and cheekiness — just how we like it! Our morning kicked off with some very enthusiastic furry friends who decided they were taking us for the walk today... and honestly, we’re not mad about it! 💁‍♀️🐾
We happily followed their noses on woodland trails, weaving through trees, splashing in puddles, and of course, foraging for the tastiest treasures. 🍃👃

Our afternoon brought a whole lot of laughs — Lincoln had a special guest riding along, and we’re pretty sure she’s only in it for the fan in the back of the car. Her face said it all after a breezy walk! 😎🚐
We also surprised little Mokee with a walk alongside her brother — and let's just say... they’ve fully earned their “Terrible Two” title. Zoomies, wiggles and giggles all round. 🐕💨

The girls wrapped up the day in proper Friday fashion — a relaxing wander through their large garden, soaking in the last of the sun, foraging and sniffing to their heart’s content. Just the way we like it. 🌸☀️

Our furry CEO enjoyed some one-on-one time with mummy today too — especially once she clocked that I was sorting her next month's treat bag. Funny how she “doesn’t eat” a certain chew… until I tell Cue side eye and immediate crunching. 😏🦴 Not to worry — they always make sure her bag is paw-fectly tailored with her favourites. We love supporting small businesses who care just as much as we do! 💕

Tomorrow’s another busy one with 1:1 clients, Nala’s groomers appointment and housework — but if we smash through it, we’ve got a big Sunday hike planned to look forward to! 🥾🐶

💬 What’s your dog’s favourite treat they pretend not to like until someone else wants it? Let us know in the comments below! ⬇️🐶
