Hi, happy Monday to you all!
I feel the need to share some of the positive and beneficial experiences with our practise of tai chi with horses, on a personal level, it has helped me with my energetic connection and communication with my horses, and I love it! .
Simply becoming aware of our breath and where it is in our body's and practising some simple excercises, smooths our energy, calms our minds and helps to ground us, all of this benefits our horses aswell, it's so easy to let our thoughts run away with us and be too much in our heads, this can lead to feelings of unease and anxiety, which our horses will feel aswell.
There is a layering effect to the Tai chi and Qi gong practise so the more you do the easier it becomes to feel our internal energy and the benefits too.
For the rider and horse owner..
The practise done on the ground will help to release tension and calm the mind , in the saddle the excercises can align and centre the body, lower and calm the breath and help your flow of energy and connection with your horse.
I currently offer these sessions alongside my regular sessions and the practice is available and accessible for the less mobile too.
In a recent session Quinn came and stood very close to where we were practising and was clearly relaxing and releasing some tension , he seemed to enjoy the whole experience.
