A study of over 167,000 dogs treated at Vets Now found that French and English Bulldogs make up more than a third of emergency heatstroke cases. Other flat-faced breeds like Pugs and Bulldogs are especially at risk, with Newfoundlands over 15x more likely to suffer heatstroke than Labradors.

Key signs to watch out for:

🔥 Excessive panting

🔥 High body temperature

🔥 Lethargy or confusion

Help keep your dog safe:

❌ Avoid walks during peak heat

✅ Always provide shade and fresh water

❌ Never leave dogs in parked cars

📞 Call your vet immediately if you suspect heatstroke
