🐾 A little wishlist for Sophie’s foster kittens 🐾

I’ve just dropped the three new kittens off with Sophie, along with all the essential supplies she needs to care for them.

These little ones have never played with toys before, so they’re now learning what toys are and how much fun they can be! If anyone would like to donate some toys to help them learn, build their confidence and simply enjoy being kittens, anything from Sophie’s Amazon Wishlist would be hugely appreciated. 🥺💛

There are also scratching posts, cosy boxes to sleep and hide in, and other little extras to help them settle. (Currently on felix as good as it looks kitten.) Anything that isn’t used by these three will stay with Sophie for the next foster kittens who need her, so absolutely nothing will ever go to waste. 🐾

🐾 Three new intakes… and a new foster! 🐾

Please welcome Sophie to the crazy world of cat rescue! Sophie is one of my lovely new foster carers and will be welcoming these three gorgeous kittens into her home tomorrow. 🖤🤍

We have two boys and one girl, and as you can see, they’re already quite affectionate! Hopefully Sophie can work her magic and turn them into three proper little love bugs. 🥰

They should be ready for adoption in a couple of weeks, so please also give our three newest intakes a warm welcome—and watch this space for updates! 🐾💕

Why are black cats so often overlooked? 🖤

Black, black-and-white and white-and-black cats are so often passed by for cats of other colours, but they honestly have the most amazing personalities.

These two are like my little shadows at the minute. They are an absolute delight—such incredible boys and so, so, so affectionate. 🥹

They have both been adopted and their new owners are eagerly waiting to welcome them home! They just have a little getaway booked this weekend, so the boys will be heading off to their new home next week.

There is absolutely nothing “plain” about a black cat. 🖤🐾

🌹🐾 HAPPY 10 MONTHS TO YORKSHIRE ROSE CAT RESCUE! 🐾🌹

On the 27th September 2025, I took in my very first rescue cat, Lux. I had no idea then just how quickly Yorkshire Rose Cat Rescue would grow or how many little lives would come through my door.

In just over 10 months, I have now had an incredible 75 cats and kittens under the rescue! 🥹

Some arrived frightened, poorly, pregnant or with tiny babies relying on them. Some needed emergency veterinary treatment, sleepless nights and round-the-clock care. Each one has had their own story, and every single one has mattered.

Apart from the litter currently being fostered by Eden, all of these kittens have been cared for by me in foster from the very beginning. Watching them grow, overcome illness and finally head off to their forever homes has been incredibly rewarding. Every single one has been loved, cared for and treated as if they were my own while they’ve been with me.

There are currently 18 cats and kittens still under the rescue — 12 with me and Millie with her five babies being cared for by Eden.

There have been happy adoption days, difficult days, plenty of worry, lots of cleaning and more tears than I could ever count. I also sadly lost beautiful Edna along the way, who will always remain part of the Yorkshire Rose family. 😇💛

I’ve got a holiday coming up, so after the next few adoptions I’ll be taking a well-earned break to spend some quality time with my family. It’s been a very busy few months, so the time off is definitely needed!

I’m also hoping to have more foster homes in place, meaning urgently needed cats and kittens can still come into the rescue while I’m away. They will be safe and very well looked after by their foster families until I’m back.

I’ll be back to it properly in September, refreshed and ready to continue helping more cats and kittens find their forever homes.

🚨 URGENT FOSTERS NEEDED 🚨

I’m being inundated with pregnant mammas who desperately need somewhere safe to come in before they give birth.

I urgently need foster homes with a separate, quiet room where a mamma can settle and safely raise her babies. You must be able to drive to the vets in Barnsley or Pen*stone when needed.

Food, litter and everything required will be provided — I just need safe spaces and caring people who can help. Please message me urgently if you’re able to foster. Every foster home means I can help another mamma and her babies ❤️🐾

🌹 Happy Adoption Day, Nevaeh! 🌹

Beautiful Nevaeh has just left to start her new life with Tammy and her family, and honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better home for her. I’m so glad Tammy put in an application for this sweet girl because it really does feel like everything has worked out exactly as it was meant to. ❤️

Nevaeh even climbed into her carrier, settled herself down and went to sleep while we sorted out all the last little bits for her. When it was time to zip the carrier up, she didn’t even move! As much as Tammy chose Nevaeh, I think that was Nevaeh’s little way of showing that she had chosen Tammy too. 🥹

She was calm, settled and completely ready to begin her happily ever after.

Have the most wonderful life, gorgeous girl. You have found such a lovely family who are going to adore you, and I know you are going to be so happy. 🏡🐾

Happy Adoption Day, Sooty and Oscar — aka my little Titch! 🐾💙

These two gorgeous boys have now left together for their forever home with Caroline and her family, and I’m so happy they get to continue growing up side by side.

Sooty is such a playful, curious little boy with the cheekiest personality, and I know he is going to bring so much fun and happiness to his new home.

As everyone knows, Oscar has always been a very special boy to me. Watching him leave was so bittersweet, and I did have a little cry afterwards. There were times when I genuinely didn’t think he would survive, so seeing him leave for his forever home was incredibly emotional.

From the tiny little Titch who fought so hard to stay with us, to the loving, happy boy he is today, I couldn’t be prouder of him. He now gets to live the wonderful life he fought so hard for, surrounded by love and with Sooty right by his side.

Have the best life together, beautiful boys. You will both be missed so much, but I know Caroline and her family are going to love and spoil you endlessly. I can’t wait to see all the updates as you settle in and grow. 🏡✨

On Friday, these two gorgeous little ones left together for their forever home with Nancy and her family, and I’m so happy they get to continue growing up side by side.

Bonnie and Finley have both been such lovely little characters and an absolute joy to care for. I’m going to miss their sweet faces, playful ways and watching them race around together, but I know they are going to be so loved and spoilt in their new home.

On Wednesday, this gorgeous little boy left for his forever home with Joanna and her family, where I know he is going to be so loved and spoilt.

Buttons has been such a lovely little character and a complete joy to care for. I’m really going to miss his sweet face and cheeky ways, but I’m so happy he has found such a wonderful family to call his own.
