🐾 RAWIDE? NOT AT HOLMES HOUNDS! 🐾

After meeting so many of you at last weekend’s event, one question kept coming up…

“Do any of your treats contain rawhide?”

The answer is simple…

❌ Absolutely not!

At Holmes Hounds, every single treat we sell is 100% natural, and we will never sell or recommend products containing rawhide.

But why do so many dog owners avoid rawhide?

Rawhide is made from the inner layer of animal hides and is often heavily processed using chemicals during manufacturing. It can become soft and sticky when chewed, causing large pieces to be swallowed rather than properly chewed. This may increase the risk of:

🐶 Choking hazards
🐶 Intestinal blockages that may require emergency veterinary treatment
🐶 Digestive upset in some dogs
🐶 Exposure to chemicals used during the manufacturing process (depending on how the product is made)

That’s why we choose to stock only natural alternatives that dogs love and owners can feel confident buying.
