🦔 HEDGEHOG AWARENESS 🦔

What should you do if you find a hedgehog?

Hedgehogs are amazing little creatures, but sometimes they need our help. ❤️

If you find a hedgehog that is out during the daytime, lying still, wobbling, injured, very weak, surrounded by flies, trapped, or simply doesn’t seem right, please don’t just leave it and hope for the best.

🦔 What to do

• Carefully pick it up using thick gardening gloves or a towel.
• Place it in a high-sided cardboard box with a towel or fleece inside so it has somewhere to hide.
• Keep the box somewhere quiet, warm and safe.
• Offer fresh water in a shallow dish.
• If you have it, offer meaty cat or dog food or suitable hedgehog food.
• Contact your local veterinary practice or wildlife rescue centre as soon as possible. If the hedgehog is injured or clearly unwell, taking it to a vet is often the quickest way to get it the help it needs.

☎️ Always call the veterinary practice before arriving so they know you are bringing in a wild animal and can advise you.

Grooms are currently booked up for 7-8 weeks so please book well in advance! Also if you would like your pet freshly groomed for Christmas 🎄 the diary is open 😊

UPDATE - 🐾 Wonderful news, wee Grace has found a foster home ❤️🐾

🐾 MEET GRACE — CAN YOU HELP HER FIND A HOME? 🐾

Beautiful Grace is desperately looking for a foster home with a view to adopt. ❤️🏡

Grace came into our care after being found injured by the side of the Ballymoney Road over two weeks ago. She had sadly suffered a fractured jaw, but thankfully she has now had surgery and is recovering well.

The good news is that Grace is now eating by herself, and despite everything she has been through, she is proving to be a friendly, affectionate and loving girl. 🥹❤️

All Grace needs now is someone to give her a safe, warm and loving home where she can continue to recover and finally feel secure.

🩷Young Female – Foster with View to Adopt

This lovely young girl is looking for a foster home with a view to adoption. She has had surgery to repair a fractured jaw and is recovering well. She will need to return to us for a follow-up appointment to have her jaw wires removed.
She is litter trained, eating well, and has a friendly, affectionate nature. She's ready to continue her recovery in a loving home where she can receive the care and attention she deserves.
