Dogs Walk This Way Rescue - CIC

Dogs Walk This Way Rescue - CIC Dogs Walk This Way Rescue is a dog rescue that saves lives, rehabilitates dogs who are in need the most, here in in the UK.

We take dogs in for several Dog Wardens in the South East. We have boarding facilities in Heathrow and foster homes across the UK Dogs Walk This Way Rescue's is run by Rachael and her band of dedicated volunteers. Our aim is one thing, saving lives of the dogs who need it most. After Rachael visited Romania, many years ago, and witnessed the torture that these poor dogs suffer, she could not walk

away without trying to make a difference. These dogs have been through hell and back, and deserve to be shown what real human love and kindness is. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue works with a team of trusted rescuers in Romania where the dogs are fully assessed before coming to the UK to start their new lives. We have a volunteer team in the UK who support Rachael to keep the rescue running. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue also have an amazing UK Vet, who fully supports our mission in to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome these deserving dogs. Our experienced volunteers offer adopters full support and guidance and full, ongoing rescue back up. We send aid to Romania as often as we can. This includes food, bedding, medications etc so if you can donate to making the dogs lives in Romania a little more bearable please get in touch about the storage location. Funds are always needed to save as many dogs as possible so even if you cannot physically adopt a dog please consider donating or even sponsoring a dog. If you can foster for us please get in touch. We cannot do this without the support of all the animal lovers so please like and share our page, as sometimes it only takes one share to save a doggies life :-)

We have kennels in Longcross and foster homes across the UK. Paypal details.... [email protected]

Urgent fosterer needed. Risk of PTS…

The pups continue to do well in foster and homes are being lined up already for this gorgeous bunch ❤️ Sadly mummy was seized by Hampshire police an hour after the pups were taken due to suspected banned breed. I was feeling so sad about this after all she had already been through. We received a call from the DLO from Hampshire police to ask us if we can help. Assessments have confirmed she is NOT a banned breed. Buttercup is at risk of euthanasia if a rescue doesn’t come forward and as we have her puppies the police contacted us asking us to offer her a lifeline. Buttercup is a young dog and sadly hasn’t had the care she truly needed meaning she has some health issues which as a rescue we will ensure she gets all she needs medically and fully fund all she needs until a suitable home can be found. The kennels have said she is a really sweet girl and she passed her dog assessment. She was also living with another large dog so we believe to be dog friendly. Given we do not know her full history we would prefer a dog free foster home whilst we assess her fully ourselves. Please can someone make this sweet girls Christmas come true and offer her a warm loving home where she can fully recover after all she’s endured in her short life. She gave birth 7 weeks ago, was in the streets, her pups were taken and same day she was put into kennels. It’s just heartbreaking 💔 everyone who met this girl on the streets have commented how sweet and friendly she was. Fosterers must live within 45 minutes from GU19 where our vets are located. Please no negativity towards the police as in this occasion, I cannot speak highly enough of how devoted they are. She must find a fosterer and or home urgently otherwise she will be euthanised. Can you help? 🙏🏻

Welcome Luna, yet another poor soul taken to be PTS by sh*tty humans! 💔🥲 only 8 months old and just a baby! So close to Christmas and so many dogs needing us. We are also running out of funds so will not be able to help anymore dogs until we can raise some money.

Welcome Zoomer!!!!! This adorable lad arrived to us a week ago after his owner took him in to be PTS through no fault of his own. He is only 2.5 years old 💔🥲 Vets refused and called us and we offered him a lifeline. He is down as a cane corso but it’s clear he is mixed breed and we are thinking cane/shar pei mix. He’s adjusting in his foster home and does lacks in confidence BUT once he trusts you, he is just the bestest boy! He has lived with other dogs and met several dogs with no issues but can be a little vocal with high energy dogs so we are working on this 💪🏻 He LOVES to play and is just the soppiest boy who loves a cuddle. He is still under assessment but watch this space for his advert in the New Year. 🐶❤️🐶

🐶🐶CUTENESS OVERLOAD 🐶🐶

Introducing Neville, Albus, Sirius and Luna! These poor pups were found living on the street.
Sadly some of the pups were sold (we worry about these poor pups and where they are now🥲)

A concerned member of the public went and expressed her concern for the pups as it was so cold and she was worried they would die from hyperthermia 🥲

The homeless person gave her the remaining 4 pups and she has signed them over to the rescue to rehome. All 4 pups are believed to be 6-7 weeks old (too young to be away from their mummy 🥲💔) and believed to be a cane corso mix. The pups were taken straight to our vets to be checked over. They have started their vaccinations and flea and worming treatment.

They are doing really well in foster and doing all things puppies should be doing, sleeping, playing and eating mostly! We are ensuring that they have the very best start with us and hope that we can find the most amazing experienced homes to to continue their training to ensure they become the very best well trained dogs. Anyone interested in adopting one of these dogs MUST have large breed experience and be prepared to do lots of training with them 💪🏻

Please do not apply if you cannot commit to this or have the experience. They will be ready to go after their second vaccinations! For now they will spend their first Christmas in a warm, loving homes which is where they should have been from the start! 🐶🎄🎅🏻🐶

Frank update!
Frank has finally made it to his new foster mummy and daddy last night and it’s safe to say he’s going to be so loved and get everything he ever needed and wanted. His new foster family have had bulldogs before and sadly lost their own last year. They saw Franks plea and couldn’t wait to help him. We moved quickly with home checks etc and our lovely volunteer Phil collected him last night where he has been staying temporarily after his vet visit and delivered him to his new foster family. Frank is already making himself at home by finding his chair! He’s had chicken and rice for his tea and since seeing our vet, he’s already managed a few short walks and seemed to enjoy himself. 6 years he didn’t leave his house nor did he ever see a vet in this time 🤬 This boy will receive nothing but the best from here on and will be back to our vets next week for a check up and further meds. If you would like to support Frank please do consider making a donation to his vets bills which will be on-going 🙏🏻 As always we will continue with updates and we cannot wait to see how he gets on ❤️❤️

We welcomed Bear and Frank to our ever growing family today. Both owner surrender dogs and both in foster. Frank was the boy we posted a few days ago as we intervened to get him urgent medical treatment due to various health issues being left untreated meaning he was suffering 💔🥲 He is under our vets and receiving the best care. Bear the frenchie came to us as his owner was being made homeless but has been well loved and looked after. He is 6 and has it all! Perfect with kids, cats, dogs and house trained and is already a firm favourite with his foster mummy! He will soon be looking for his forever home. Watch this space for his advert ❤️

‼️URGENT‼️ DOG FREE FOSTER NEEDED FOR WELFARE CASE. We were contacted by a trainer who asked us to help. Full story will be shared with new Fosterer. This poor boy hasn’t left the house or seen a vet in over 6 years! Before agreeing to help him we wanted to get him to our vet to have him checked over. What the vet saw was shocking 💔🥲 he has ear infections, skin condition, claws so long that they are embedded into his skin so he couldn’t walk and he’s overweight. I’m awaiting full report from vet. He has been sedated and made comfortable today and been given medication but we desperately need a foster who can help get this boy on the right track. He’s an older boy, 7 years old nice natured. He hasn’t been officially dog tested but didn’t react to dogs at the vets but given his age and health issues we want him to be able to just have some TLC whilst we get him on the right track. We cannot really finically commit to this boy however we also couldn’t just leave him in this state 🥲💔 PLEASE PLEASE share as we must find a foster ASAP. We will cover all costs whilst he is in foster and we will be doing a separate fundraising post for him soon. You must live within 30-40 minutes from our vet in Bagshot, Surrey. Please message us if you can help and share to everyone you know! 🙏🏻🤞🏻

Our Story

Dogs Walk This Way Rescue's is run by Rachael and her dedicated volunteers. Rachaels aim is one thing, saving lives of the doggies who most need it. After she visited Romania a few years ago and seeing the torture that these poor doggies suffer she could not walk away not trying to make a difference. A small difference, but it is still a difference for one doggie who has been through hell and back and deserves to be shown what real human love and kindness is all about. The sad thing is that their only crime is they were born in 'Romania' :-( Dogs Walk This Way Rescue works with a team of trusted rescuers in Romania where the dogs are fully assessed before coming to the UK to start their new lives in our kennels in Binfield and Grayshott, and foster homes across the UK. After assessment we look for new forever families for the doggies. We have a volunteer team here in the UK who work hard with exercising, training and socialising the dogs, fundraising, collecting donations, home-checking, re-homing and fostering. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue also have an amazing UK Vet, who fully supports their mission in finding these doggies forever homes, of which they so deserve. All the doggies adopted will have their full support and guidance. We will be sending aid to Romania every few months of food, bedding etc so if you can donate to making the doggies lives in Romania a little more bearable please get in touch about the storage location. Funds are always needed to save as many doggies as possible so even if you cannot physically adopt a doggie please consider sponsoring a doggies travel for their second chance. If you can foster for us please also get in touch. We cannot do this without the support of all the animals lovers so please like and share our page as sometimes it only takes one share to save a doggies life :-) Paypal details....
