Dogs Walk This Way Rescue - CIC

Dogs Walk This Way Rescue - CIC Dogs Walk This Way Rescue is a dog rescue that saves lives, rehabilitates dogs who are in need the most, here in in the UK.

We take dogs in for several Dog Wardens in the South East. We have boarding facilities in Heathrow and foster homes across the UK Dogs Walk This Way Rescue's is run by Rachael and her band of dedicated volunteers. Our aim is one thing, saving lives of the dogs who need it most. After Rachael visited Romania, many years ago, and witnessed the torture that these poor dogs suffer, she could not walk

away without trying to make a difference. These dogs have been through hell and back, and deserve to be shown what real human love and kindness is. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue works with a team of trusted rescuers in Romania where the dogs are fully assessed before coming to the UK to start their new lives. We have a volunteer team in the UK who support Rachael to keep the rescue running. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue also have an amazing UK Vet, who fully supports our mission in to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome these deserving dogs. Our experienced volunteers offer adopters full support and guidance and full, ongoing rescue back up. We send aid to Romania as often as we can. This includes food, bedding, medications etc so if you can donate to making the dogs lives in Romania a little more bearable please get in touch about the storage location. Funds are always needed to save as many dogs as possible so even if you cannot physically adopt a dog please consider donating or even sponsoring a dog. If you can foster for us please get in touch. We cannot do this without the support of all the animal lovers so please like and share our page, as sometimes it only takes one share to save a doggies life :-)

We have kennels in Longcross and foster homes across the UK. Paypal details.... [email protected]

Our pug perfect duo are still looking for their forever home ❤️
These two sweet, cheeky chaps will be the most wonderful addition to a calm and caring family. Down below is a little bit about them.

Hardy & Rufus 💙💙

Breed : Pug
Size : Small
S*x : Male
Age : 6 Years old

Could live with children - ✅ teenagers
Can live with dogs - ✅
Can live with cats - not tested but have previously lived with dog savvy cats

This pugtastic duo are in need of a caring and calm forever home together. The half brothers were surrendered to DWTW after the sudden death of their beloved owner. Both dogs have enjoyed fabulous care during their lives and would thrive in an active yet peaceful new home and garden. They are great together and need to be rehomed as a pair.

Hardy and Rufus are the perfect house guests in foster care. They are well house trained, familiar with a dog flap and they enjoy walks, cuddles, fuss and grooming. They walk well on a lead and are easy off lead, although they can have selective hearing but treats work! Both are happy to travel in the car and they love walking with other dogs. After meeting and greeting new doggy friends and children, and then they enjoy to go home for a snooze. They are very calm in the house, enjoy welcoming visitors and love a bit of affection.

Hardy and Rufus are excellent companion dogs and can be left alone for short periods of time. They would make a wonderful addition for some who enjoys walking, dog outings and company around the house and garden

Applications for this fab duo can be made using the link below.

‼️ URGENT FOSTER NEEDED ‼️

Cairo is a sweet 2 year old rottie whose owners have had from a puppy. She is the most loving dog you could meet and adores everyone she meets. She lives with children and adores the owners 9 year old daughter. She also lives with a Boxer, Frenchie and Dog de Bordeaux. Sadly she has recently started not getting on with the Dog de Bordeaux and they have had a few altercations.

She is amazing with the other two and the Frenchie is her bestie and they snuggle together. She’s fine with dogs outside the house and never had any issues with any other dog. We introduced her to two dogs, male and female with no issues. Sadly her owner is overwhelmed and cannot cope with 4 dogs as her personal circumstances have changed and sadly the dogs are not getting what they need. Cairo’s owner is in absolute bits so please no negativity! She only wants what is best for this lovely girl. Situation is desperate and Cairo needs some training. She pulls on the lead but this is due to the fact she sadly doesn’t get out much. She is food motivated and we really think once someone can totally commit to her and give her what she needs, she will be the best dog! Our founder really wants to take her on as she always said her next rescue would be a rottie but already with 3 dogs and 2 cats sadly she can’t! Fosterer needs to be within 60 minutes from GU19 postcode and someone who is used to the breed and can help with her training so she can find her forever home. Cairo is crate trained and house trained.

We would also consider an experienced person who wants to foster with view to adopt.

We can discuss in full with any potential applicants. Please if you can help Cairo do fill in our foster application below. If you are unable to foster please do share 🙏🏻

How has this beautiful boy had no applications?

Bruce has got so much life & love to give. Could you be his perfect companion to play ball with and take nice walks? More about Bruce below ✨

Bruce 🧡

Breed - Cocker Spaniel
Size - Medium
S*x - Male
Age -4yrs

Can live with children - 16 years plus
Can live with dogs - ✅
Can live with cats - ❌

Bruce is a playful, energetic and lively sweet boy. He needs lots of attention and his favourite game is to chase his ball and bring it back to his humans. He loves to play with other dogs and enjoys large out door spaces to run around with them. Bruce loves to settle down in the evening with lots of cuddles and will sleep very well throughout the night, he sleeps on his own with a choice of 2 beds, one in the kitchen and one in the front room.
Bruce can be let of the lead when in a park away from busy roads, he does generally have good recall but sometimes has selective hearing and takes his time to come back. Treats are a winner! He also travels very well in the car.

Bruce can be nervous when it comes to startling noises such as thunder and especially fireworks, he will get very scared and will bark.

Bruce would make a wonderful addition to an energetic couple with previous cocker spaniel experience. You will need to have patience and give him the attention and love he so very much enjoys 🧡

If you could be beautiful Bruce’s forever home 🏡 Please follow the link below

Milo 💙

Breed - Mixed
Size - Medium
Age - Approximately 4 1/2 years old
S*x - Male

Can live with dogs ✅
Can live with cats (needs to be tested, but has lived with cats in the past)
Can live with children ✅ 16 Years plus
Neutered ✅

Milo is a sweet, friendly, gentle soul who actually came to us from Romania 5 years ago, but due to his owner having to move and him not being able to go with her, he sadly finds himself back with us.

Milo loves his walks and a ginger biscuit before bedtime.
He has good recall and always stays close. He is good with other dogs but will bark at them when on lead out of frustration, but can be easily worked on. Milo also travels well in the car and has always slept well in his own bed.

Milo used to live with cats a few years ago but hasn’t just recently. He is good with children but can be cautious of toddlers. From this we would recommend he’s in a home with children 16 years +.

Our Story

Dogs Walk This Way Rescue's is run by Rachael and her dedicated volunteers. Rachaels aim is one thing, saving lives of the doggies who most need it. After she visited Romania a few years ago and seeing the torture that these poor doggies suffer she could not walk away not trying to make a difference. A small difference, but it is still a difference for one doggie who has been through hell and back and deserves to be shown what real human love and kindness is all about. The sad thing is that their only crime is they were born in 'Romania' :-( Dogs Walk This Way Rescue works with a team of trusted rescuers in Romania where the dogs are fully assessed before coming to the UK to start their new lives in our kennels in Binfield and Grayshott, and foster homes across the UK. After assessment we look for new forever families for the doggies. We have a volunteer team here in the UK who work hard with exercising, training and socialising the dogs, fundraising, collecting donations, home-checking, re-homing and fostering. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue also have an amazing UK Vet, who fully supports their mission in finding these doggies forever homes, of which they so deserve. All the doggies adopted will have their full support and guidance. We will be sending aid to Romania every few months of food, bedding etc so if you can donate to making the doggies lives in Romania a little more bearable please get in touch about the storage location. Funds are always needed to save as many doggies as possible so even if you cannot physically adopt a doggie please consider sponsoring a doggies travel for their second chance. If you can foster for us please also get in touch. We cannot do this without the support of all the animals lovers so please like and share our page as sometimes it only takes one share to save a doggies life :-) Paypal details....
