Yesterday Al did the important job of representing Terry as we celebrated the life of Grandma Catherine Rush. Terry always enjoyed his bike rides through the countryside to visit her in Tottington and they were both as fond of coffee and cake as each other.

We had a lovely service at Overdale Crematorium where every seat was full, Father Bill led the service with Katie’s photos showing us Grandmas life and Christine reading her beautiful poem. Family travelled from all corners of the country to pay their respects.

There were also two significant anniversaries on the day - it was exactly a year since Terry died, and it would have been Catherine and Thomas’ wedding anniversary. Afterwards we had an appropriately Bolton celebration with pasties and peas, and catching up with family.

The bike needed a bit of an upgrade too, it'll help with the aerodynamics πŸ˜›

Al had a ride out to Lanark this morning as the weather was nice - followed by washing the bike! Then he went on a walk with the hounds at the falls of the Clyde. Of course a cake and some chippies had to be involved too. Lovely day all round πŸ›΅β€οΈ

A happy Burns night from Al. He has been making friends with the haggis youngsters that live in the garden. Their mam wasn't too pleased about that though! After being rescued from a tree, Al decided against a haggis supper and had pizza instead 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Al went to Girvan to visit Terry as well, it was a place Terry had loved. It only seemed right that he went to the chippy. Chips always taste better by the sea and wrapped in newspaper. Much like Terry, Al prefers the crispy ones (particularly the pointy bits) so he shared the others.
