One of my mantra’s, as many of you will know is “if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.”

Today, one of my truly wonderful Holly Hops families reminded me just how fortunate I am.

I was completely speechless when Lisa arrived with this incredible, beautifully personalised gift. The thought, time and love that has gone into every single detail is simply unbelievable, and I’m genuinely quite overwhelmed. One of my favourite scents, Halfetti has been hand crafted into Lisa’s hand made wax melts from Bee's Books especially for me, along with all my other divine wax melts, an old book lovingly turned into a Wombling typewriter, another book turned into a scented flower vase… the talent, care and time you have taken to do this is truly humbling.

Thank you for trusting me with your much loved pets, for your friendship, and for your incredible kindness. I will treasure this forever.

There are days when running a small business is hard work, but moments like this make every early morning, every late night and every bit of effort worthwhile.

I’ve spent my day on a bit of a respite / rescue mission helping out South Ayrshire Council with a safe place here at Holly Hops for these budgies and finding them a safe, clean cage and suitable food etc for their stay here. An unusual day but they are much more comfortable than they were.
Here’s hoping their owner can have them home soon. Meanwhile I will take care of them.
