๐พ Im Looking for Behaviour Grooming Case Studies ๐พ
Over the years, many of the dogs I've worked with have been the ones that struggle elsewhere.
The dogs that hate having their nails clipped.
The dogs that panic around the dryer.
The dogs that are uncomfortable being handled.
The dogs that have been labelled "difficult", "naughty" or "can't be groomed".
My approach has always been to work with the dog in front of me, adapting handling, pace and techniques to suit the individual rather than expecting every dog to fit the same grooming process.
As many of you know, I have a strong interest in canine behaviour alongside grooming, and I'm looking to document some of these journeys as case studies.
I'm looking for a small number of dogs that struggle with:
โช๏ธ Nail clipping
โช๏ธ Bathing
โช๏ธ Drying
โช๏ธ Handling and touch sensitivity
โช๏ธ Fear or anxiety during grooming
โช๏ธ Previous negative grooming experiences
The aim is to professionally document and record their progress through video and photos, showcasing how behaviour-led grooming can help dogs feel safer, more confident and more cooperative throughout the grooming process.
This isn't about restraint, forcing dogs through appointments or "getting the job done at all costs".
It's about understanding the reason behind the behaviour, adapting the approach, and creating positive change.
If your dog struggles with any aspect of grooming and you'd be interested in being considered as a case study, please send me a message with details about your dog and the challenges they're facing.
