Want to improve your balance, confidence, and technique?
Whether you’re returning to riding after an injury, brushing up on your basics, or refining your aids, RideSmart with Lloyd is a fantastic way to focus on you as a rider.

The simulator gives riders time to think, feel, and understand their position without worrying about a live horse — which means better habits when you get back in the saddle.

This video shows a young rider working hard on her balance and technique. We’ve been using targeted exercises to help her understand how her body works, where it should be, and how small changes can make a big difference to her riding.

Let me introduce myself — I’m Natalie, the coach for the RideSmart Simulator, Lloyd.

I am a qualified BHS instructor and have been teaching for 25 years, working with riders of all ages and abilities. Since founding Toll Bar Equestrian, I’ve also been fortunate enough to teach using our simulator, which I absolutely love.

My passion has always centred around rider position and biomechanics. When a rider is balanced, aligned, and effective, the horse can move more freely — creating a harmonious partnership between horse and rider.

Using Lloyd gives you the chance to focus entirely on you — whether that’s developing technique, improving balance, or rebuilding strength and confidence after time out of the saddle.

So far, I’ve helped riders with confidence issues, injury rehab, happy hackers, dressage riders, stunt riders, and of course those simply wanting to fine-tune their position and technique.

I also offer a combined session: 30 minutes on Lloyd followed by 30 minutes on your horse or mine (weight limit 12 stone). These sessions have become really popular, as the simulator leaves you warm, relaxed, and correctly engaged — meaning riders feel more prepared, and the horse can feel the benefit too.
