A great, busy day for our older kid pony day. We managed to get ridden before the very heavy shower came! We need much more rain though! 🤞

We worked on straightness, talked about XC riding, tacking up, tack cleaning, lots of grooming, mucking out and sweeping.

A great day today for our pony day. 🐴

We started with some horse agility and leading the ponies around a course before riding them round! Then learning our parts of the saddle and bridle.
Super leading and riding everyone well done. 💥

The afternoon session we did some drill riding, looking at conformation, showing and mucking out. Fantastic riding everyone, well done 👏

There are still a few spaces on our older pony day 11 yrs plus, next week.

Our Toddler sessions will restart in a couple of weeks. We can't wait to see you all again and hear what you have been up to over the summer. 🥰

We have a few spaces available on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

These sessions are aimed at 2 and 3yr olds and include stable management and riding. They start at 10am and run for about 45mins. Your toddler can do as much or as little as they like.

You were all absolutely amazing!! 💥 well done.

Lots of fantastic riding, goals achieved, jumping for the first time, riding a different horse for the first time, everyone riding over our working hunter jumps in the field.

Learning all about the care of the foot, shoeing and riding X- country.

Mary- our new horse arrived last night and she had a well timed appointment with Glyn our farrier from Equity Shoeing Ltd. They were all able to tell him how to shoe her!! 😊Mary was also a superstar coping with all the kids and the hussle bussel of the yard for her first day with us!

Will look forward to seeing you all next summer. 🌞🦄

What a hot few weeks it's been, but the last few days have been unbearable! 🌞

The welfare of our horses and staff is very important to us. It has been much to hot for our horses to work and as such we are lucky to have Lloyd, our simulator, meaning we have still been able to offer our lessons. We have been working on improving technique, position and for some of our younger riders getting the feel for cantering!.

Today, Our saddleclub kids have also been helping keeping our horses cool by bathing a few of them. Banner and Theo certainly enjoyed it as they had a good run and buck around their paddock afterwards! 🦄

Now, if everyone could do a rain dance, that would be much appreciated!!

We are looking for an instructor to teach Saturdays 10-4.
While qualifications are desirable, applicant must have experience teaching all ages and abilities. Must be friendly, approachable and enthusiastic in their teaching style.

We are looking for another pony to join our small 5 star licenced riding school. 14/14.2h, needs to be a nice all rounder with a nice personality.
Our ponies want for nothing, they are not worked hour after hour, day after day. They do a maximum of 2 hours a day with 2 days off a week. They have the chiropractor, saddle fitter twice a year, their teeth done as required and regular farrier visits. All lessons are private and we have a lovely lot of clients. All our horses are treated as family and being a small herd the horses are all extremely close.
Unfortunately we don't have a huge budget and it would be nice to loan a pony if possible.
