Seeing owners confidently handling their dogs and continuing the work we've started together is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. The training doesn't end here, it is the beginning of the next chapter, with ongoing support to help maintain and build on these results.

Mac & Jynx 🐾☀️

It was an early start for these two this morning to make the most of the cooler temperatures before the heat arrived.

After early morning session, Mac & Jynx enjoyed some well-earned downtime, relaxing in the shade and taking it easy for the rest of the day.

With weather like this, it's important to adjust training schedules, keep dogs cool, and make sure they get plenty of opportunities to rest and switch off.

I'd say these two approved of today's plan! 😎🐶

🐾 Lucky's First Steps to Success 🐾

Lucky, a rescue dog from Romania, recently joined me for a one-to-one training consultation, and receiving messages like this is exactly why I love what I do.

One of the most rewarding parts of dog training isn't just helping the dog, it's helping owners gain the confidence and understanding they need to move forward successfully. Every dog is different, especially rescue dogs who may have had a difficult start in life, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

During our session, we worked on building clear communication, structure, and practical training techniques that Lucky's owners can continue to use in everyday life. Seeing both Lucky and his family leave feeling more confident was fantastic.

A huge thank you to Lucky's family for trusting me with their training journey and for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. I look forward to hearing about Lucky's progress in the future.

🐾 Mac is now starting his second week of residential training with Gabby K9s! 🐾

One of the key skills we're working on is the "Place Command". This exercise helps Mac learn how to switch off, relax, and remain calm despite distractions around him.

For many dogs, learning to settle is just as important as learning obedience commands. The Place Command builds impulse control, creates clarity, and teaches dogs that calm behaviour is rewarding.

As you can see in today's video, Mac is making great progress and beginning to understand that he doesn't always need to be "on"😉 sometimes the best choice is simply to relax and observe the world around him.
