DANGERS βΌοΈ βοΈ β οΈ OF YOUR DOGS EATING WILD GARLIC π§ πΆ πΎ
Please share this to raise awareness of the danger of your pets eating wild Garlic, my 3 year old dog was in my back garden eating wild garlic to make herself sick (as dogs normally eat grass to make themself sick π€’ but my garden only had wild garlic ) so she was eating this instead. Some dogs will think it smells like food and be attracted to eating it. A few hours later she collapsed under the kitchen table and had a seizure her gums went white she was foaming from the mouth and then collapsed, we rushed her to dollgellau Vet, where they rushed her in straight away and told me she would be staying in as she was so poorly she then had IV FLUIDS DRIPS PAIN MEDS X RAYS ULTRASOUNDS BLOOD TESTS & the vet phoned me to say she was going to have to open her up to examine her insides as the ultrasound was showing something abnormal with her organs. After 3 hours of waiting anxiously for a phone call to say her operation was over the vet called me back and said her spleen and liver were enlarged and that next ger organs would have started failing and it could have been fatal. π π€¦π½ββοΈ we rushed her in just in time. & landed with a Β£1300 vet bill. (But of course she is priceless) π
I didnβt know the danger of wild garlic and it is literally everywhere especially in north wales (where I live ) π΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώ I have uploaded photos of what they look like. They stink so If you think you have it in your garden get it out by the bulb and get rid cus your fur babies are important & it really is a killer π§ Iβm so blessed sheβs still with me but someone else may not be so lucky. Smaller breeds would only need a few mouthfuls and it could be fatal so please please be careful and share this to raise awareness π― πΎ πΆ π§ β οΈ πͺ΄
