Next up in our Meet the Team series is the second bossman,

✨Conor✨

Conor had always wanted to be a Vet from a young age, after spending a lot of time at his Uncle's farm near Rathfriland.
He studied Veterinary Medicine in Cambridge University, graduating in 1999; before moving back to his home town of Newry, to take a job in his local vet clinic for a year. From there, he moved to Rathfriland Vet Clinic where he gained further experience in working with farm animals, small animals and horses 🐎
Conor is one of the founding members of Orchard Vets, and has worked here since 2003! He enjoys the variety of jobs that mixed Veterinary practice brings. He spends a lot of his time nowadays performing surgery, xrays, ultrasounds and dental work on small animals at the clinic.
Conor has a busy life outside of work, married to Jacinta with three sons, one daughter and two family dogs🐕. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, sea swimming, spending time with friends and watching sport 🏐🏉⚽️🏇

✨ Meet the Team ✨

So, starting from the top.. We have Phil!

Phil studied at Edinburgh University, having wanted to be a vet since he was a youngster; running around with his Uncle who was a vet in his hometown of Cookstown!
He graduated in 1993, and worked in rural North Wales for 7 years, then moved to Pharmaceutical Research for 4 years, before joining Orchard Vets in 2004.
His main interests are cattle fertility and herd health management, but still enjoys all aspects of veterinary, both large and small animal!🐮
Outside work, Phil enjoys time with his wife, Pauline, two sons and four Jack Russell's. He also enjoys sports, hiking and the craic at Clarke Fitness, Armagh!
