I’m absolutely honoured to have been nominated for the 2026 High Achievement Award in Dog Grooming, in both Community Star and Most Improved Groomer categories.

To whoever took the time to nominate me, thank you so much. It truly means the world.

Almost five years ago, Diamonds in the Ruff Pet Spa was just a dream. After leaving a surgical career in the NHS, I took a leap of faith into dog grooming, using my skills of being a former vet nurse and exotic animal sanctuary owner, I hoped I could build something special. I never imagined I’d one day be nominated for industry awards.

Thank you to every client who trusts me with their dogs, supports my little salon, recommends me to friends, and cheers me on. These nominations belong as much to you as they do to me.

I’m incredibly grateful and very proud of how far we’ve come. ❤️🐾

Please don’t arrive with your dog medium-rare 😭🐾

If possible, avoid walking your dog to the salon in this heat — pavements are spicy and paws are precious! 🌡️🔥

📱 Drop me a message/text when you arrive and park opposite. I’ll pop out and meet you if needs be!
🚪 Same for collection — park opposite and just pop in. We can be extra quick handling them over to you!

If the curtains are closed and the grooming door shut, don’t panic 😂 I promise I haven’t abandoned ship. It’s just to keep the salon lovely and cool for the dogs. The grooming area is MUCH cooler than outside or reception 🩵❄️

At home:
💧 Keep fresh water down
🧊 Frozen treats are your friend
🌅 Walk early or late
🛏️ Cooling mats & damp towels help loads
☀️ And remember… if it’s too hot for you, it’s definitely too hot in a fur coat
