Getting to Parkside Stables on Wingfield Road. There are traffic works at the traffic lights near Wingfield Road. You can’t turn left at the lights from the main Watchorn island. (Some Sat Nav’s are diverting the long way around).
To get onto Wingfield Road turn at the Watchorn church (sharpe left coming into Alfreton) down Gooker lane to the mini roundabout on Wingfield Road.

We have very sadly said our final farewell earlier this week to our lovely old friend Honey.

A much loved and popular little riding school pony here at Parkside for many years.
Honey passed away peacefully after a short illness.

Honey has been the sweetest of ponies, certainly living up to her name. She enjoyed her working life in the school and later her retirement here at
Parkside with her friends.
I’m sure many of our youngest and smallest riders will have happy memories of your first riding experiences on this little sweet pony.
She will be sadly missed by us all and I know many of you will be sad to hear the news. She will be joining her other friends (who we also remember fondly), in those happy green pastures in the sky.

Please join us to remember her with a smile by sharing your happy memories and photos.

A huge thank to you to you all for choosing to ride and enjoy our horses and ponies at Parkside…..And definitely for making the whole team smile daily. We take great pleasure in seeing you all enjoy falling in love with our horses and ponies here at Parkside.

BACK TO SCHOOL

We have enjoyed having a really great bunch of children spend time with us this summer at Parkside …

Friday was the last day of our Summer school holiday Own a Pony Weeks. What a great time we have all had this summer. Thank you to everyone for your custom and wonderful feed back.

Our amazing team of staff, volunteers and fantastic family of horses and ponies have all enjoyed assisting everyone on their equestrian learning journey. Many achievements have been awarded at the end of week show day competitions. A huge well done to everyone who took part.
In our eyes absolutely everyone was a winner, the progression in both riding and horse care skills has been a joy to witness. We hope all the children enjoyed having fun, making lots of memories, making new friends (both human and equine) while spending time with us here at Parkside.
We couldn’t finish this post without saying a huge thank you to our dedicated team of staff and volunteers who always do an amazing job of looking after everyone and everything here at Parkside, you are appreciated by everyone (human and equine) more than you know.
