More Mini Pony Club achievement badges for the Wednesday group this week.

This time it was Colours and Markings.
This involves being able to identify
✅ Bay
✅ Grey
✅ Piebald and skewbald
✅ Black
✅ Chestnut
✅ Face markings such as a Star and Blaze
✅ Leg markings such as a Sock and Stocking

⭐️Fun fact ‘bald’ comes from the old English word meaning “white patch” just like the bald eagle 🦅 or even piebald

There is ALWAYS that something needs doing, fixing, sorting or arranging.

This mornings job was to install a section of post and rail over some horse netting due to it taking a bashing from the horses 😫

We all muck in and do what we can to keep on top of the maintenance as unfortunately the fairies don’t do it.

This week we had our mini pony club group enjoy a morning at the yard with riding, grooming, mucking out and learning all about the care of our ponies feet with mini achievement badge.

We still have plenty of more sessions to come along to over the summer holidays so why not book in!

Something a bit different today! And nice to see so many familiar faces.

We went along to Canwell Show with Logan to compete in the Mountain and Moreland large breed and coloured horse in hand classes. Both strong classes where he came away with a very respectable 4th place. It’s been a very long time since I’ve done any showing and it may have reignited the bug. Move over Abi I might be stealing Logan 😂

Pony Club Camp 2025

What a week!

The 3 days were filled with lots of hands on fun with the ponies as well as;
🐴 grooming, feeding, turning out, cleaning their tack.
🐴 choreographing their own musical drill ride
🐴 designed the perfect paddock to complete their perfect paddock achievement badge
🐴 bathed and plaited their ponies for the ridden display for parents on Friday

Pony Club Camps are so much more than just riding they help members develop life skills, such as resilience, determination, perseverance, team work, respect and communication.

The girls were fantastic to have with us for the 3 days and hope they have created some life long memories of their own.

3 full days of activities including 2 rides per day, stable management sessions, badges, fun, games and quizzes.
