Wow that went in a flash!

The summer holidays and all the fun we have had enjoying the ponies and Pony Club activities.

We have packed loads in from Three Day Camp, Spillers visiting with the weigh bridge, competitions, Pony Club Tests and Mounted Games.

Although the holidays might almost be over we are busy planning plenty to look forward to over the autumn.

This is what happened between drop-off and pick-up...

We took a camera to capture some behind the scenes at one of this summer's Mini Pony Club Mornings.

There was some riding, some grooming, one completely unplanned interview, and more talk about poo than we expected!

Sarah has been riding at Bourne Vale for 27 years and she puts it best. Children don't just come here for the riding, because that's not what it's all about.

A fun morning (before it got too hot) with some of the Pony Club members having a go at mounted games with the help and expertise of Caroline who’s visited us as the area 7 mounted games head coach.

They had a go at lots of different games such as bending, throwing and collecting, removing and replacing a flag as well as collect the sweetie race!

Big shout out to Rosie who still attended the day even though she couldn’t ride as the night before she’d fallen out of a tree and broken her arm!! She was devastated she couldn’t come so asked if she could watch and take help set the equipment up as well as support her fellow Pony Club members. That true dedication and Pony Club spirit!!!!

Mounted games is great for getting riders riding with reins in one hand and learning to balance in a different way all whilst having lots of fun!

The morning was spent practicing and revising. This afternoon they have taken the test which includes a ridden and horsemanship assessment.

Your child will groom , get to know the ponies, and enjoy a riding lesson with our instructors.

No previous riding experience is required.

For Pony Club members riding on or off the lead rein. Includes a 45-minute riding session.

Pony Club Camp number one ✅👏

Fantastic start to the summer holiday with some super keen members taking part in our 3 day camp.

Lots of learning about grooming, turning out and preparing for a show and riding over the 3 days.

On the final day members took part in a ridden show and jumped a course.

Well done to everyone who took part.
