Some horse owners think we sell our hay at a high price, but we sell our bales 0.50 cents per bale cheaper than the French farmers in the Crau area! This is only possible because we have a full truck delivered every time. We even have to pay the transport costs from France to Pinoso, which is certainly not cheap. Our margin is small. Good quality hay is always a bit more expensive, even in countries where sufficient hay is produced! We focus on horse owners who are consciously concerned with their horse's welfare. We can store and deliver consistently high-quality hay all year round. Most people don't realize that the production costs for hay production alone are €100 to €200 per tonne, and even then, the farmer hasn't earned anything.
