We are working hard to improve the shelter and make it a better place for these animals whilst we try to find them there forever homes. The shelter operates with little help from the authorities and relies mainly on donations. Help i

Finally, our ray of sunshine has been reserved and will soon be leaving the shelter for her forever home. 💛

It just needed the right family to see what we had seen from the very first day she arrived with her brothers — a wonderful dog full of love, happiness, and potential.

We are absolutely delighted for her and cannot wait to see her begin this next chapter of her life, where she will finally have the home and family she deserves. Wishing her a lifetime of love, adventures, and happiness. 🐾🏡✨

Today Whiskey left the shelter for her forever home. These puppies have been through so much, hopefully they will now have the chance to begin their lives full of love and adventures.
Just Jameson is wait for a home offer now, we need to find something before his only remaining sibling leaves next week 🙏

What are we going to do with Daisy?

Daisy has two sides to her personality. At home, she is the sweetest, most loving little companion you could wish for. She adores being close to her people and is happiest curled up beside you, enjoying the simple comforts of family life.

Outside, however, Daisy feels that she needs to protect both herself and her person. This can create challenges, but these behaviours were being managed really well in her foster home and she was making fantastic progress.

The reality is that Daisy struggles in busy environments. When there is too much going on, too many people, dogs, noises and distractions, it all becomes overwhelming for her. What she really needs is a quieter lifestyle where she can relax and feel safe.

An ideal home for Daisy would be somewhere on the edge of town or in the countryside, with people who understand that she needs a little time and patience. She can happily live with other dogs once introductions are done properly, and she is perfectly accepting of visitors once she has had the chance to decide they are friends.

Daisy is only 4 years old. None of this is her fault. She has simply developed a few insecurities along the way, and with the right home she can continue to thrive.

The hardest part is watching her wait. Every day she lies by the gate, hoping that her family will come for her.

Please, if you think you could offer Daisy the calm, loving home she deserves, get in touch. She has so much love to give to the right person. ❤️🐾

This is Reggie who needs a foster home asap please. He will come under our care or possibly to PAWS at Jalon on Thursday via Asociación Valencia Perrera Dogs
He has had blood tests which are pretty good for a dog of his age (9) that has not been living in the best of conditions, he is taking antibiotics for borderline positive for Anaplasma and Erlichia.
While in foster he needs to be castrated and have some dental work undertaken. He will then be ready for adoption
He has been tested with other dogs and has passed 👏

Sort was rescued from a place where he wasn’t even being given the most basic thing needed to survive – food. When he arrived with us, he was painfully thin and in very poor condition.

Thankfully, those days are now behind him. He is slowly putting on weight, regaining his strength, and enjoying the care and regular meals that every dog deserves.

Sort is a friendly boy who loves people, and he has recently been moved into the main kennel block so that we can begin introducing him to other dogs and helping him develop his social skills. Everything is new to him, but so far he is taking it all in his stride.

After everything he has been through, it is wonderful to see him looking healthier, happier, and ready to start the next chapter of his life.

Taco is such a beautiful pup and growing daily. He is certainly going to be a large sized adult. Of what mix we are still not sure, do you see something ? A rare breed maybe or just a fabulous mix 🤷‍♀️
Taco is around 5 months old, abandoned as an only pup !!
All vaccinations chip and passport done, bags packed and ready to go 🙏

Aston’s Day Out ❤️

I have to confess that this breed is one of my favourites. Over the years, we’ve had many Staffies pass through APROP, and I’ve loved every one of them. But Aston is something a little bit special.

When he arrived with us, he was only around 16 months old, and even now he is still just a youngster at two years old. Yet his ability to deal with absolutely any situation with such calm confidence is remarkable.

Nothing fazes him. He never reacts negatively to other dogs — only with a wagging tail. He is respectful, tolerant, and incredibly polite with every dog he meets. And of course, he adores people. That’s written into his DNA.

Today Aston spent the day out and he was simply perfect. He took the crowds, the noise, the lights, and all the excitement completely in his stride. He was a little unsure about the lift at first, but a few reassuring words and a gentle pat were all he needed.

Afterwards it was time for a swim, and he was straight into the water, thoroughly enjoying the chance to cool off. In fact, when it was time to leave, he really didn’t want to get back into the car. Truthfully, I didn’t want to take him back either.

For all you Staffie lovers out there, seriously — this boy is as close to perfect as they come.
