We would like to say a very big belated thank you to Maxine Flint for organising a raffle fundraiser at the Februarys lady’s lunch at Mucho Más Restaurante in Alhaurín el Grande ❤️.

An incredible 466 Euros was raised and was split between ourselves at Marras’s Legacy and Pawsawhile dog rescue.

Things like this make a huge difference to small charities like ourselves.

🐾💔 WHY HAS NOBODY ASKED ABOUT RONNIE? 💔🐾

This beautiful boy was once a tiny puppy found abandoned in the bins… and lovingly hand-reared to survive. Today he has grown into the most magnificent Mastín mix with the sweetest soul. ❤️

Ronnie has blossomed so much. He’s now confident, gentle, and incredibly loving. He gets along with every dog and cat he meets and just wants to be near people who care about him. 🥰

Despite being such an amazing dog, Ronnie has had almost no enquiries 😔

Yes, he’s a tall boy with long legs — but he’s actually quite slim and graceful. And his heart? Absolutely huge.

All Ronnie is waiting for is one family to see him and say: “That’s our dog.”

Please help change Ronnie’s story.

Our sweet Hope is fighting kidney problems again 💔

After everything we went through with Gray, I never imagined we would be facing something like this so soon again. It’s been incredibly hard on our hearts 😔

Right now Hope is spending her days at the vet on IV fluids and coming home to rest at night. We are hoping and praying we will start to see improvement by the end of the week 🙏🏻

Seeing our little princess like this is absolutely heartbreaking, but we are doing everything we can to give her the best chance to recover.

The veterinary costs are quickly adding up, and if anyone is able to help support Hope’s treatment, even a small donation would mean so much to us.

It truly breaks my heart.

She is the most beautiful girl — inside and out — and one of the most loyal souls I’ve ever known. Absolutely stunning, gentle, and devoted. I know I might be biased because I love her so much… but if I could have her with my pack, I would keep her in a heartbeat 😔💕

Valentia is still waiting. Still hoping. Still deserving of a place to finally call home.

The lovely Jo Stonley has very kindly donated a beautiful personalised embroidered cushion cover to auction which can have the picture of pet on to help raise funds for our dogs at Marra’s Legacy 🐾❤️🐾.

We have recently had lots of damage caused to our little sanctuary by the storms. We have lost 70 percent of our stones in the doggy play area, we have damaged roofs and lost all of the dogs sun shades. So all funds raised by this auction will towards repairs 🥰.

To help raise money for our dogs , we are offering a very special cushion cover with your dogs face and name lovingly embroidered.

All you have to do is bid, and the winner will receive a custom embroidered cushion cover 45 x 45 cm.
We think a good starting bid is 30€ as it is all for dogs❤️.

We have agreed to help one more dog from Granada pound….

Even with all the social media attention, complaints and inspections as always nothing much has changed 😔.

The weather has been awful as we all know only two well and the pound has continued to flood filling the cages with mud and water which is bad enough in normal circumstances without the added freezing temperatures in Granada!

They have moved a lot of the dogs to an inside area but plenty are still stuck in these shocking, freezing, muddy cells!

Pablito was one of these dogs… Pablito came into the pound last February with our Zeus and many other PPP dogs. He was seized as part of a case against his “owner” for cruelty and fighting 😔.

As always it’s always the dogs that suffer in these cases as it takes so long to sort out the paperwork and in the mean time these poor dogs are living in horrific and absolutely criminal conditions caused by this pound 🤬. Sad to say but these dogs are probably better cared for by the abuser!

I saw Pedrito when we took Teddy, Gitana and Zeus and I so wanted to help him too but his paperwork wasn’t ready. He was skin and bone and was constantly circling in his cell 💔.

When the pound got all the media attention and so many rescues went in to take dogs I prayed someone would choose him but sadly no one did. So long story short we said we would 🙈.

But we don’t have any where suitable to put him and considering how long it takes for these dogs to get adopted we need to be realistic and put him in a nice area where he could potentially live for a long time 😔.

So we need to raise around 350 euros to build his area and get him blood tested etc once we have him.

The lovely Kara Jaye Caradas and her sister Charlie have generously donated a lovely little wooden house for him ❤️, which Harry and the boys need to dismantle, collect and re build plus we need to buy extra fence posts, cement, fencing panels, gravel and ideally a little bit of artificial grass.

Of course Harry doesn’t get paid but his workers have to be.

If anyone could help towards these costs Pedrito and we would hugely appreciate it 🙏🏻. Kara has already donated 50 towards the costs too ❤️.

This boy so deserves the chance to finally live with love, care and some home comforts ❤️.

Echo ❤️

Beautiful little Echo is URGENTLY looking for a home.

Echo is a 12 year old girl, she is incredibly well behaved, she loves outings and will happily sit by your table out for lunch or coffees.

She gets along with all other dogs, well behaved in the home, loves toys and doesn’t pull on the lead on walks.

Echo would be the ideal companion for an older couple but equally would make a great dog for a young family.

Unfortunately the foster home she is in circumstances have changed and they can no longer keep her 💔.

Echo is a mixed breed ( NOT PPP), weighs around 18 kilos so she isn’t a big dog and she is castrated.

This is a very worrying situation for a dog of Echos age …. SHE URGENTLY NEEDS A HOME.

Valentia ❤️

Beautiful Valentia is still waiting to find her forever home …

She is 8 years old and the sweetest girl, she has been with us over a year now.

Valentia was in the hell hole pound in Granada, she was left their by her “family”. She was shut down, growling at everyone, terrified, sick and covered in ulcers from laying on that freezing cold, wet concrete floor 😔.

She never would have left that place alive…

After a couple of weeks with us she relaxed, she knew she was safe and her beautiful nature came out.

She is the sweetest girl, adores her humans, she is calm, so well behaved in her little house and so desperate for her own family.

Valentia would make the most wonderful family dog ❤️, Valentia does need to be the only dog in the household, she has no interest in other dogs on walks.

Valentia has no Mediterranean diseases and is as fit as a fiddle ❤️. She so deserves a family for her senior years 😔.

If you are interested in Valentia please contact us, we would happily home Valentia with no cost to the adopter and fund raise for travel costs if her family are abroad. All we want to see is Valentia is a proper home 😔.

We Marra’s Legacy try our best to help the bull breeds that no one else will help but when these dogs don’t get adopted it prevents us from helping others …

🐾 1st February – World Galgo Day 🐾

Alongside our fellow rescues, we want to remind you of another dark side of Spain — the end of the hunting season.

For thousands of galgos, podencos, and other hunting dogs, this time of year means abandonment, abuse, and death. Their suffering does not end when the season does.

Pictures are clearly not our own, but shared from group that tirelessly campaign for these innocent souls.
