Our old sweet English gentleman Rupert has a cold😔
Our vet has been coming every day to give him an injection and check on him🙏🏽
Even yesterday when he had finished all his other jobs he came almost at night to make sure Rupert was fine🧡🫏

It might be just because Leon has been the first baby she ever had,but the patience she shows towards him is just unbelievable! He can be a bit too much sometimes🙈😅but then again…being as sweet as he is🥰he knows nobody can resist his good vibes and energy🧡

Big thanks to Daniela!!!👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏽🧡🌿
She came from Barcelona to spend a few days with us volunteering and giving the best of herself to the donkeys and to our dream team🧡🫏

It has been hot this days 🔥 and we do have a huge amount of work🧹🪣🚿to keep up our standards of well being for our rescue donkeys🙏🏽🙏🏽not an easy job at all!😅

Daniela felt part of our team from minute one and has had that capacity of adapting to anything it was required,from donkey welfare,to donkey walks,even being with some of our visitors and she ended up being even on our daily team meetings!!🧡👏🏼👌🏽

What a fantastic woman she is!! Hard worker,empathic,intelligent and with a special connection to animals🐶🫏
We wished she didn’t live so far,but she is defenetly coming back as soon as she can to keep helping us🙏🏽

Daniela,thanks soooo much!🙏🏽🧡
It has been just so nice sharing with you and seeing how you were falling in love with our animals day after day.

Yesterday, some of us had the honour of witnessing a truly magical moment. 💫

This wonderful lady came back to visit us after meeting some of our rescue donkeys four years ago.

And amazingly, she still remembered some of them, including our sweet Valiente, who is now living happily in his forever home with two donkey friends. 🫏🏡

This time, she met Paco.

The moment she saw him walking onto the terrace, her whole face lit up. Her smile captures the joy, gratitude, and deep connection our visitors feel with Paco. 🧡

Moments like these remind us how deeply donkeys touch people’s hearts. Just beautiful. 🧡🌿🫏

Meet Carlos and Lucero🫏❤️

We are going through many of the stories with a happy ending that are part of our history since we started the Rescue Center.

This is one of them🥰

Carlos🫏
He is one of the most gentle donkeys we ever had at Donkey Dreamland❤️
We rescued him thanks to a brave woman who was living near by.
She could hear Carlos “crying “everyday from her place, and she started to go and give him treats and spend time with him through the fence where he was locked in.
She contacted us and we went to see the conditions he was living in🙈😔
What we saw was horrific and of course we proceeded to collaborate with Seprona and rescue him🙏🏽

Lucero🫏
He came to us because he was having some behavior issues with the lovely family who had him... he was a young foal who just wanted to play, and their children started to be afraid of the way Lucero tried to play with them… plus he was getting bigger and bigger and of course, that could be dangerous!

They asked us for help and we agreed to have Lucero with us for a few months and correct some of his habits.
What a funny and playful donkey!!!!! plus he was sooo fluffy and gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️🥰

We trained him and made him understand he was a donkey not a human😅
Best way to that was to give him the opportunity to be together with another donkey🙏🏽🫏
After trying with some of the donkeys we had back at Donkey Dreamland…Carlos was the donkey who seemed to accept that little trouble maker as a companion ❤️

They kept being together while Lucero was with us, and they created such a beautiful bond that we finally decided they should always live together🌿

Carlos and Lucero went back to Huelva where the family had the perfect land for them to be almost semi free🍀

They are now living a good life, their owners didn’t have any more problems with Lucero since Carlos was always there to correct him with his amazing gentle character... always so patient and sweet❤️

Again, do we miss them?
God yes!
But that is what we do!

This is the Chaparral 7!
An amazing group who are walking 100 kilometres to raise money for animal charities🐶🫏
ACE SHIN Adopties - Honden & Katten and Donkey Dreamland❤️

100% of the money raised will be split between our two charities and we couldn't be more happy! What a fantastic challenge!!!🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏼

Hope❤️🫏
We didn’t give up on Hope,one of the first donkeys we rescued last summer.
He wasn’t currently working when we found him,but through his passport we could see he had worked all his life in Mijas,he had been bought and sold many times between different donkey taxis owners😔

His case is not an easy one since he had his hoofs in the worst conditions we ever saw.

He has been under the care of our farrier and vet,and we have been trying different ways in order to improve his quality of life🫏🌿

Last week,he was again one of our main objectives,and as you can see,he seems grateful and with less pain🙏🏽🫏

We don’t loose hope in Hope❤️
He is one of the sweetest donkeys at DD and we keep doing all we can to give him a decent life where pain stays in the past.

We will keep you posted about his recovery,and again,we thank you all for your constant support Donkey Dreamers🌿🫏❤️
