🌼 Margarita.
We didn’t show you the state of her when she arrived to us🙈
We think is important to raise awareness of the consequences of a life of neglect.
Her hooves have never been trimmed,therefore she is having difficulty walking.
You can also see on the video the bumps of fat all over her body, especially on her neck and bum and sadly that will be almost impossible to get rid of.
When a donkey is so badly fed with things like grain,old bread and other inappropriate food there is big risk of Laminitis and obstruction of her veins.
Now Margarita is on restricted diet of straw and a bit of hay in order to stop her health deteriorating.
About her hooves we have started trimming them progressively.

We will keep you posted about her recovery.

We are protecting the fruit trees from our donkeys🙏🏽🌱
They are not so happy about it😅but it was needed.
Good olive oil,some bandages and metal protection.
Sorry guys! You have plenty of other things to eat…leave the trees alone🙏🏽😅🌳🌿
