𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗴𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: More Mares Qualify for the Elite Mare Show

Yesterday, at the mare show i Region 4, three mares were selected for the Elite Mare Show at Vilhelmsborg.
3-year-old:
Grevens Isa Stepz by Iron - Revolution, bred by Stutteri Greven
Kvistgaards Odette by Revolution - Painted Black, bred by Lilli Kvistgård
Rubin by Revolution - First Choice, bred by Lisbet B. Andersen
Joining them is the 4-year-old gelding Evo Fraser by Fynch Hatton – Desperados, bred by Stutteri EVO, who also impressed the judges.

Earlier in the week, also in Region 4, two 2-years old mares were selected.
Best mare of the the day Darbie Højmark DWB by Danciero – Franklin, bred by Inger Wejlstrup and Stærkjærs Diva DWB by Be Sure – Temptation, bred by Stutteri Stærkjær.

Endnu en avlssæson er fløjet forbi, og vi vil gerne sende en stor tak til alle jer, der har valgt at bruge vores hingste. Vi glæder os allerede til at se de mange skønne føl, der kommer til verden i 2026.

En særlig tak skal lyde til vores dedikerede hingsteteam, som har arbejdet utrætteligt for at give avlere den bedste vejledning og service – både her i Danmark og i Tyskland.
Vi vil også gerne fremhæve vores chauffører, Preben Nielsen og Benny Hansen, som har tilbagelagt tusindvis af kilometer for at sikre, at leveringerne altid når frem til jer på bedste vis.

Celebrating 10 Years of Dedication: Anita Nedergaard

Ten years ago, Anita joined Helgstrand Dressage as Canteen Manager. Back then, we were 27 employees, and Anita was in charge of both cooking and cleaning in a very small kitchen above the office.
After a few years, things changed, and today Anita and her team serve 120 employees every day.

Thank you, Anita, for all the delicious meals over the years!

Look at him, Valverdos! An eye-catching gelding with a positive mindset. He is always giving his rider a good feeling. He has three good and functional gaits: a good walk, a powerful trot and an uphill canter, and then he is truly looking like a model.

𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗴𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Straigt Horse Leonardo Offsprings Shines in Region 3

On Saturday, the Danish Warmblod foal show in Region 3 took place.
Filly of the day, and selected for the Elite Show at the end August, was Worres Frida by Straight Horse Leonardo – Franziskus, bred by June and Mogens Worre-Jensen.

Another daughter of Straight Horse Leonardo, Liora-Ann IQ by Straight Horse Leonardo – Belissimo M, bred by Pernille Jensen, also secured a ticket to the Elite Show.

A filly, Dia Swing PHD by Dynamic Dream – Morricone I, bred by Polite Horses Denmark, and a c**t, Kamar’s Bech Noir Hit by Be Sure – De Noir, bred by Marten Kappel Petersen, were also selected for the Elite Show.

Mette shines in Verden, winning gold and bronze for the 5-year-old horses with our breeding stallions: Proud James and Straight Horse Leonardo!

What an unforgettable day it has been here in Verden! Mette delivered world-class performances, showing outstanding riding and true quality of our stallions. We could not be more proud of her dedication and work with these incredible stallions.

Both Proud James and Straight Horse Leonardo impressed the judges with their outstanding gaits and rideability in the arena!

Moreover Merita and Ferdinand de Fontaine had a beautiful ride securing a 11th place here in the big final!

A huge congratulations to Mette, Merita, their grooms, our team, breeders and everyone behind the scenes who made this success possible!

Now it’s time to celebrate! 🏆🍾🥂✨

Eric Guardia Martinez and Francesca VH, daughter of our breeding stallion Franklin, placed 12th in today’s final for 7-year-old horses here at the WCYH! We are so happy with this mare, she is truely one for the future!

Two Helgstrand stallions finished in front at the Hannover Championat for 3-year-old horses in Verden.

The winner of the class was our new stallion DC-10, by Dynamic Dream - Escolar, who we co-own with Joop van Uytert. He showed a line of highlights and achieved a total score of nothing less than 9.5. On a second place was no other than Daan G, who presented a stunning picture and earned a final score of 9.2 🌟

Our Story

Andreas Helgstrand has a long history of riding, training, trading and breeding horses. In 1994 Andreas Helgstrand started his riding master education at Søren Vallentin in the Sport Riding Club Aalborg. During his apprenticeship, he rode Grand Prix in dressage as well as jumping on horses, which he had trained himself. He got his riding master education in 2000, and has been employed at “Van Olst Stables”, “K Stalls” in Norway and at “Blue Hors”, where he both rode, trained, horse traded and participated in the breeding work of the stud farm by preparing and riding the stallions. In the sports he rode Blue Hors Cavan at the Olympics in Athens in 2004 and Blue Hors Don Schufro in 2008 in Hong Kong, where he won the bronze medal for teams together with Anne Van Olst and Natalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein. Another absolute highlight of this period is his World Championship silver medal in 2006 on Blue Hors Matiné. In the autumn of 2008 Andreas Helgstrand started his own sales and training centre, "Helgstrand Dressage”. Helgstrand Dressage takes a great pride in trading and breeding the finest horses and coverings, and offers help and guidens when choosing the right horse with the desired pedigree.
