As we are getting ready for a show next weekend here are some thoughts 💭
Competing is about so much more than results 🐴✨
When you see a horse and rider enter the arena, you often only see those few minutes where everything has to come together. But what you don’t see are all the hours behind it. The training. The doubts. The progress. The small victories. And the days when things don’t go as planned.
For me, competing isn’t only about placings or scores. It’s about developing horses that feel confident in their job, understand their work, and are allowed to progress at a pace that suits the individual horse ❤️
The most important thing when going to a competition is not necessarily the result – it’s the experience.
✔️ Is the horse confident?
✔️ Is it relaxed and mentally with us?
✔️ Have we given it the best possible conditions?
✔️ Are we moving forward – no matter how big or small the step is?
Competitions are learning experiences. For both horse and rider. Some days you go home with ribbons, other days you go home with experience. Both are valuable.
At Emilie Bendix Performance Horses, the focus is always on long-term development, horse welfare, and education – because the strongest results are built through trust, patience, and good horsemanship 🌟
Every horse has its own journey. And that is exactly what makes it so special.
