Soaking up all the Kiki Bug love I can before I have to leave her. It's hard when you bond with an animal and then have to leave them behind. Buggy showed up at my mom's place about a year ago. We think she was dumped, cause she is too loving, trusting and all that to be a stray, but she found her way to the best possible place to live.

By now I have contacted all my clients that have scheduled walks/sittings for my return and, unfortunately, needed to canel them. I have extended my stay by a week to be able to go with my mom to her orthopedic surgeon appointment, since she was out of it when admitted to the hospital in Costa Rica, and I might be able to provide information.

We have been working on her becoming as independent in the house as possible, but she still has her limitations since she cannot put weight on her leg yet.

I want to say a huge thank you to all my clients and their lovely words to me when I told them I was staying another week to care for my mom. It means the world to me that you not only understand my decision, but you support me and will be waiting for me upon my return. Lex Go Walk is a business of one. It's just me. I have no backup to help when things in life happen and I do everything I can to uphold every appointment I make, but sometimes things are just out of my control. I have so much love and respect for all of you and it makes this whole situation a little easier on me knowing you all stand behind me. Thank you. ❤️❤️

Hey everyone! I hope your November is going better than ours so far.

Our mother-daughter adventure was cut short before it really got going. Unfortunately, last Friday, only 4 days into our Costa Rica vacation, mom had an accident and broke her tibia. Three hour ambulance ride from the cloud forest to San Jose to get to a major hospital, surgery to remove the bone that broke off and plate/screws to patch her up and then a lot of rescheduling of flights, cancel rentals and lots of stress. We have finally made it back to Oregon. Now the rehabilitation begins. I'm glad I'm here for another 3 weeks to help her while she cannot walk on both feet.

Here are some pictures from the first few days of our adventure. Mud scrub, blue river, jungle, and silly selfies. And, of course, we made friends with the local pets

I know it's been forever since I posted here, my apologies. This month has been busy with dog sitting, full days, amazing weather and readying things for my trip. This is my last week of work before I leave for my vacation next week.

Happy 4th Birthday to Mr. Long Legs Genji. I've loved watching you grow from a little fluff with long legs, to a handsome boy... With long legs 😅.

Today, his parents scheduled a time with me cause they knew it would make his day more special. He loves visiting my apartment (it's where all the good treats are at 😉), so we went there, he had an ice cream and some ball on the terrace. It was a good day.
