I had the pleasure of having this young man over to stay at the end of July. Limo is such a superstar!🏅🐶As a 10month old pup and his first nights away from mum and dad, it went soooo well. Mum and dad have trained him amazingly to the crate, so all I had to do was borrow the crate to give him his safe space at night. He would squeak for 5 mins and then slept amazingly throughout the night. Such a shining example of the benefits of crate training.
We started walking one on one as he was missing mum and dad and wanted to go home (as you would expect, he is just a pup) and then once we got him excited to walk with me I then added the different dogs. He did an awesome job, he is so comfortable meeting new dogs and plays so well. So super cute!!
He was the household ninja for these days, he likes to be near you as much as he can and those tiny little fluffy paws make him sooo quiet. So often we would find him cuddled up to your feet in the kitchen, bathroom and whether you sit still for more than 5 mins. He is a cutie pie and if you see him around the park I'm sure his mum and dad would be happy with a chance to say hi.
Cuedos to mum and dad for raising such a sweetheart. 🥰❤️🐶

This is Limo.
He is the cutest 10-month-old mini-Dachshund, who came to visit me for few hours at my home to test how he would settle with Freya for some future overnight stays. As you may be able to tell, he settled in well. It was his first time away from his loving mum and dad so it was steady, but he settled down very nicely. Freya was very excited to see him, maybe a little too excited, so I separated them until she calmed down and then there was peace and love.
I’m looking forward to having him over to stay next week

Introduction to my regulars – 2 – Emma-Lou
Emma is a super intelligent French Bulldog/Beagle Mix a.k.a Frengle. Who wouldn't love that smiley face!
She has been my walking/training project. When I took over Emma’s walks it was because she was pulling too much for the previous walker, she would do what we have nicknamed the *alligator*, where she would lower herself to the floor and use every muscle and leverage to get to where she wanted to go. Since I started working with her, I have worked with her mum and dad to improve this. She now comes to the right heel when told to come, is generally very good at loose leash walking. Her response to directions is far improved, along with her recall.
From the beginning Emma showed possessive tendencies and sporadic moods with other dogs. Just to clarify, she has never bitten another dog, she barks and bullies dogs. It was sometimes bullying dogs away from a puddle that she is in, a stick she wants or sometimes just taking a random dislike to a dog. This has improved massively with the socialising training we have gone through. Walking in an established pack helped Emma understand how to communicate and listen to other dogs communications better. She can now play with dogs with balls in play (she may occasionally vocalise that she wants the ball but it’s a little woof). She has learnt to give dogs that she used to clash with space and not to aggravate social situations.
We are currently working on her confidence in public spaces, outside of Ørestad Byparken, such as the metro and railway station. Also, we are working on her leash reactivity.
She is such a loving and intelligent dog and has progressed so much and I’m excited to see how far we will get her. I’m so proud of how far she has already come.

Introduction to my regulars – 1 – Yula! A.k.a Love bug/Yula Bug
Yula is the most loving Staffordshire Bull Terrier you will ever meet. She does often want to greet with kisses and even when you are standing up right she will spring up so high to try to get a kiss. We are working on discouraging it but please don’t be surprised if you come and greet her. It’s all filled with love.
Her mum and dad have worked so hard with her to ensure she is socialised well with other dogs, responsive to commands and a general pleasure to be around, So, I can take not credit for her training. I get the pleasure of walking her an hour a day, Monday to Friday, mostly with Freya or Emma (to be introduced shortly) so I can ensure she gets properly stimulated and her mum and dad get a tired and fully satiated little pup.

Introduction – Freya a.k.a Puppa/Shmoo/Mush and many more
Freya is my own little pup. She is a 2-year-old F1 Cockapoo and I love her to bits.
She is a vocal little ball of energy; she often likes to bark when she plays so you may have heard her in the dog park. Unfortunately, my little Shmoo has a long list of allergies (including bacteria on her own skin) so she is an itchy little thing. We are doing everything that we can to improve the situation, including her recent neutering to reduce her hormones that make her itchier. She is also on a special diet so if you see us, I ask, please don’t give her any treats.
She is generally a very docile, friendly and playful pup. She doesn’t like her back end being sniffed too much (hope it reduces since the neutering) but she communicates her dislike and calms down. She isn’t territorial or possessive so having dogs over is brilliant. Freya is crate trained so if a doggo comes to visit and needs solo time, it is still very doable and ensures no one gets over stimulated/stressed.

Although I don't really let Freya greet dogs on the lead as it encourages pulling too much.

Introductions :D
So, Hi, this is me, Nikki *waves*
If you are local to Ørestad Byparken you may have seen me around over the last few years. I am a local dog walker and trainer and this is a little about my history.
I am a 34 year young British woman, who moved to Denmark to be with my Danish partner. I am a responsible adult with experience with all sorts of animals.
My childhood home was full of all kinds of animals. My dad loved everything with wings, my brother loved reptiles, my mother loved everything furry (not just cats and dogs but also rabbits, rats, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs (a lot of guinea pigs)) and I love them all.
I'm not intimidated by pets of any size and any behavioural issues that may need to be dealt with.
