You unpack your beautiful new girth or bridle, excited to use it, and then… you notice a white haze on the leather. Don’t worry, this isn’t mold!⁠

After we carefully oil and condition your new leather product, temperature changes during transport can cause certain components to rise to the surface, creating a white residue. This is a natural reaction and doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with the leather.⁠
⁠
How to fix it?⁠
✔ Buff it out: Use a soft cloth to gently rub the leather. The warmth will help the residue disappear. ⁠
✔ Apply gentle heat: A hairdryer on a low setting can help the oils absorb back into the leather. ⁠
✔ Condition if needed: A light layer of leather balm or oil can restore an even finish.⁠
⁠
So no need to worry! This can occur and is easy to fix 😊⁠
