🎉🎈 Dog Garden is 8! 🎈🎉

When we are not training dogs and their lovely humans we spend time out on amazing walks with the dogs part of our Dog Garden family. Eight years of goofy grins, endless tail wags, and so much love. 🐶❤️ What started as one walk has grown into an incredible adventure shared with so many amazing dogs and their wonderful humans.

We’ve celebrated this milestone the best way we know how – with a big field full of happy dogs, belly rubs, laughter, and of course… cupcakes!🧁🐾

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of our journey – whether you’ve been with us from the start or just joined the Dog Garden family, we are so grateful for your trust and support.

Here’s to many more years of wagging, walking, learning, and loving. 🧡

🌿 In Memory of Lolka 🌿
“Some dogs leave paw prints on your heart. Others leave a map.”

One month ago, I said goodbye to my heart dog—Lolka.

She was more than my companion. She was my teacher, my partner, and my quiet shadow through life’s most important moments. From country to country, house to house, she was the constant thread. Steady. Honest. Fiercely herself.

Not everyone got to meet her. She chose her circle carefully. But those who did, saw the soul she was. And those who didn’t… you’ve still seen her in my work.
In the way I train.
In the calm I carry.
In the stories I share.

Lolka helped me become who I am today.
And even though she’s no longer by my side, her presence is everywhere—in the way my other dogs move, in the trails we walk, in every small moment that carries her echo.

Grief like this doesn’t follow rules. It just… lives with you. Quietly. Deeply. But so does the love.

So here’s to Lolka.
A once-in-a-lifetime dog.
A compass.
A gift.

Two First Aid Workshops, 15+ Amazing People, One Goal: Be There When It Matters Most

We wrapped up two fully booked Canine First Aid Workshops — and wow, what a turnout!🥰🤩
From CPR and bandaging to real-life scenarios and thoughtful questions, the energy was incredible.

Great people, great snacks, great learning.
The atmosphere was warm, curious, and full of heart (and a little laughter too).

Huge thanks to everyone who came, practiced, asked, shared, and made these sessions so memorable. Your dogs are lucky to have you!🫶🏻

13th Crime Tour 😍🕵🏻🐶
We had again so so much fun figuring out who stole the Easter Eggs. 🐰🐔🐣🪺 The teams were on fire, found all the clues, overcame all the challenges and saved Easter 🥳 Super sniffers!!!

🎆 Fireworks season is here again! Be prepared and proactive—your pups will thank you for it. ❤️ Here’s how to keep them calm and safe during the festivities:

🐾 Walk early: Take them out before fireworks begin and keep them on a leash for the next couple of days (30th & 31st & 1st) to prevent sudden escapes.

🦴 Use enrichment: Keep them occupied with frozen Kongs, chews, snuffle mats, lickimats, or puzzle feeders.

🎶 Mask the noise: Play white noise, calming music, or TV. (Tip: Yamato Japanese drum sessions on YouTube worked wonders for my dogs!)

🏠 Create a safe haven: Close windows, curtains, and doors to block out sounds and flashes. Let your dog hide in their safe space if they need to.

🌱 Try natural remedies: Use calming herbs like dried lemongrass, CBD oil, or pheromone sprays to help them relax.

🐕 Update ID tags: Make sure your dog’s ID tags and microchip info are current, just in case. Also take a scent sample (fur, nail, gauze with saliva) from your pup stored in a little jar just in case you need canine help for a search.

💡 Reassurance is OK! If your dog seeks comfort, give it freely—you won’t reinforce fear by helping them feel safe.

✨ Bonus: Start desensitisation early for future events by introducing fireworks sounds gradually at a low volume.
