As the holidays approach, we ask that you prepare for your pet’s needs in advance. Our final order for food, medication, and supplies will be placed on Monday, December 15th to be received on/by Friday, December 19th. This will be the last order before the New Year.

We kindly ask that you check your stock of food and medications to ensure you have adequate supplies until January 5th, 2026.

Effective Immediately: all after-hour emergencies must be assessed through VetTriage services.

VetTriage has a direct line to contact Dr Katie for life or death emergency services after-hours. We will no longer see you after-hours if we have not been contacted by VetTriage to bring your pet in. VetTriage is fully staffed with veterinarians and can assist with any species of pet. Please indicate Aurora Veterinary Hospital as your clinic when filling out your information, or we will not receive contact or the report. This is to ensure that Dr Katie and her team can get adequate rest while servicing the entirety of the NWT and Nunavut.

For Facebook Messenger, we will reply if it’s within the hours of 8am to 8pm intermittently when the clinic is open. However, the best way to reach us outside of clinic hours is through VetTriage.

We’d like to note that this is for even the most immediate emergencies. Any emergency that requires an x-ray will be immediately referred down south at this time.

Next week we are pleased to announce our first Spay/Neuter Clinic of 2025. Our Nova Scotia duo are flying up once again ( Thank You Crooked Whisker Pet Supplies) to enjoy the North and spay/neuter as many pets as possible. Dr Kellie and RVT Jordan would be delighted to allow local residents to get their pets done under our SNAP Program. The SNAP program is intended to help pet owners afford to care for their pets properly. The price for this program is $250 per pet. This fee includes examination, surgery, vaccines, microchips, nail trim and deworming. Please email [email protected] to claim a spot for next week's clinic. March 10-14th. Thank you!
