Dino 2012-2026

Our resident black panther peacefully passed away this weekend. Dino was the kindest cat, loved to snuggle and the best "mouser" (albeit our only useful barn cat). He will be sadly missed around the barn by all, including his favourite human (Andrew Craig ) and his faithful kitty companion Pebbles.

EJF #3 continued...

Fiona Robb-Craig & Mady Lockwood, this dynamic duo continued to put the horse first with having to pivot 5 days out to bringing a different a green horse. They gave "Henry" the confidence building ride this green horse needed to help him keep progressing. 👏

Kayleigh Nijssen & ADK's Double Take had fabulous rounds and multiple no stirrup hours later came away with 5th place in the A Equitation Flat 💪

Glittercat HD & Allie Pritchard tackled their first full show together! This young rider tackled her nerves & fears to do everything on her own, morning ring ride, warm up and each course. A huge accomplishment for this promising team! Teammate Delya Gaffney also introduced "Gwen" to her first fully decorated course with great professionalism.

Isla Hayes & Midwest Princess had a tough time in the less than ideal weather conditions but as required in this sport they persevered! They worked through every hurdle and are ready to finish the year strong 💪

Delya Gaffney & DA Sorry Not Sorry. A weekend to remember as Delya took her homebred Rhys to her very first off property experience! This horse has been trained from day one by only Delya, walked into her first class ever Adult Equitation Flat and walked away with a 6th place! This is one of those victories that is so much sweeter than just the ribbons!

And of course so Thankful to the parents, grooms, Tyler and the support at the home farm during these weekends!

Kaelyn Stronach & McKinley KS found their groove with a WIN 🥇 2' Medal plus multiple top 5 placing in her respective divisions

Gillian Howard & Ms Magoo joined us for some Silver fun! It was wonderful to add this partnership to our team. Lots of learning & experiences gained across the divisions plus a class WIN 🥇 for Adult Equitation Flat.

Lauren Elliott & Canterbrook Drops of Jupiter worked out some mid season bumps, got to work to learn from each experience finishing with a 🥉 2'3 Open U/S.

Schooling Show #1

We had a small but mighty team at Flatrock Farms Show. A great group of riders who tackled first shows, made moves up, tackled personal goals & all brought home a ribbon. 

Amara Templeman attended her very FIRST horse show aboard our trusty Canterbrook Drops of Jupiter. Amara did a great job showcasing her skills in the ring and tackling all the "firsts" of horse showing with a positive and mature attitude. Bring on show  #2!

Maddie Wilson & ADK's Cashmere were back at it for another show! This team is very familiar with each other and were able to step up to the 2'3 Hunters with great success and brought home RESERVE CHAMPION in a large Hack division.

Maggie MacKinnon & Toby's Bankers Copy after just one show and not cantering last summer, stepped up in a big way! This team tackled the Canter Xrails and Hack division in style. They were lucky to receive great feedback from the judge and are ready to tackle the next show!

Ada Mandigo & Happily Ever After worked all winter to improve their canter work. They tackled the Canter Xrails & Hack division with style while showcasing their winter of hardwork. We are working on those lead changes in prep for show #2!

Olivia Drapeau & ADK's Pocket Change also were able to move up to the Canter Xrails & Hack division. Olivia tackled her nerves so well, showing her maturity & experience, letting the strong partnership that her & Nickel have built shine through. 

As always Thank You to our very supportive parents and our terrific volunteers grooms!

We have a few more weeks of homework before we tackle our final show of the summer!
