Jennifer Brockwell & Outside Chance: Despite not feeling well, this familiar team put in their best effort with teammate Delya Gaffney to assist when needed. Finished the weekend with their best ridden flat class EVER!

Kaelyn Stronach & McKinley KS: Mickey has been the next step for Kaelyn in her progression as a rider & horseman. Their weekend had some highs & lows but regardless it was full of learning moments to help Kaelyn grow so she can achieve her long term goals.

Virginia Stauntz & ADK's Heartfelt Wishes: Although it was Virgnia's first Silver show ever, she did a wonderful job piloting Henry through his first Silver show too. Virginia is sadly moving to the East coast early July but I am so glad before she left we were able to help her achieve her goal of showing Silver.

Madison Parks & Apollo's Odyssey: A wonderful show after a winter apart with Apollo on lease & Madison at school, this team came back together without skipping a beat. We have worked together to improve the management in Apollo's daily life outside the ring, leading to outstanding results for their first show of the season.

The results were great but the individual accomplishments & displays of learned skills, increased confidence & better horsemanship is the true WIN.

Isla Hayes & Midwest Princess: We met Isla & her pony last September & it was great to reconnect this Spring. This pair put in the hard work all winter which showed with a fabulous first show of the season!

Allie Pritchard & ADK's What About Me: This dynamic duo worked all winter to strengthen their skills & relationship which was apparent in the show ring. Just a year ago they started the season by trotting all our jumps & now they are cantering the Puddles with their eye on Playoffs!

Kayleigh Nijssen & ADK's Double Take: I will be the first to admit I was leary about this partnership. Kayleigh has successfully proven me wrong, she was ready for the challenge. This team learned A LOT from their first off-property clinic & they had a lovely, uneventful first show!

Mady Lockwood, Fiona Robb-Craig & ADK's Best Wishes: It is a joy to have Mady & Fiona who rode with me their whole childhood back in the show ring post University. These ladies are working beautifully together, recognizing their strengths and weaknesses as they work as a team to give a green horse a positive start to her show career.

Spring bootcamp started with the annual clinic!

This weekend serves as a lovely trial run before our show season starts. We took green horses & new partnerships to iron out the wrinkles under Cathy's tutelage. It was a successful outing, with lots learned and a team focused on fine tuning the details in time for EJF #1.

I have had many coaches over the years that have shaped me into the coach I am today. But I wasn't quite prepared for how watching my students grow would continue to shape me.

To witness all the ADK riders grow & adapt to life's challenges both in the saddle and outside the barn, is truly a privilege. And now to have seen riders go from elementary grad, to highschool grad, to university grad and then welcoming them back to ADK in adulthood, is an honour that I don't take lightly.

Through every stage in life, it's always the horse ❤️

Happy International Women's Day

It is such a pleasure to be surrounded by so many inspiring women everyday (and so many that aren't pictured here). But what's even better is being able to witness these incredible girls & women enjoy their passion of horses at every stage of life! To be able to work with countless female professionals who are top of their industry. To have so many inspiring women in my personal circle. And to watch the vast range of women around me both in the barn & at home learn from each other, lean on each other & lift each other up is truly special 💜
