❤️ YOU SEE MY CHICKENS, MY GOATS, AND MY COUNTRY LIFE… BUT YOU DON'T KNOW THE HALF OF IT.

And maybe it's time I changed that.

My name is Christina Hooper. I'm 47 years old, a wife, a mom of five, and a Jesus-loving homesteader living on 80 acres in Manitoba.

From the outside, my life might look like fresh eggs, farm animals, family, and country living.

And yes, there's plenty of that! 😂🐓

But there's another side to my story. One that includes heartbreak, unexpected battles, health struggles, and seasons that tested everything I thought I knew about life.

My husband Joe suffered a devastating brain injury in a car accident. Our family has walked through some incredibly difficult chapters.

In November 2022, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I lost the vision in my left eye for six months, and I faced a future filled with questions I never expected to have.

There are things we've lived through that I haven't shared publicly. Not because I'm ashamed, but because some stories take time to find the words for.

I've learned that you can be grateful for your life and still acknowledge that parts of it have been incredibly hard.

You can love your family with every ounce of your being and still walk through seasons that leave you exhausted.

You can have faith in God and still have questions, fears, and days when you don't understand why things happen the way they do.

FAITH DOESN'T MEAN YOU NEVER WALK THROUGH THE FIRE.

For me, it means knowing I'm not walking through it alone. 🙏❤️

I'm not sharing this because I have everything figured out. I'm sharing it because there's so much more to me than what you see on your screen.

Over time, I'd like to open up about some of the hardest chapters of my life—the things that changed me, the lessons I've learned, the moments that tested my faith, and the experiences that shaped the woman I am today.

Not for sympathy. Not for attention.

But because maybe my story will help someone feel a little less alone in theirs.

And maybe, in sharing the hard parts, we can have the kind of honest conversations that social media doesn't always make room for.

SO LET ME ASK YOU SOMETHING. ❤️👇

When you follow someone online, do you want to see the real story behind the pictures, even when it's messy and uncomfortable?

And if you're comfortable sharing, what's one thing life has taught you that you never could have learned the easy way?

Let's get to know the real people behind these screens.

Because there's a story behind every one of us. And sometimes, the chapters we think we have to hide are the very ones someone else needs to hear.

❤️ THIS IS MY STORY. AND I'M JUST GETTING STARTED.

🚨 WALKING INTO MY 6TH WINTER OF DEATH ☠️❄️

Still healthy. Still unvxxed. Still surviving and thriving with multiple sclerosis. 💪❤️

Still eating red meat, drinking raw milk, and collecting fresh eggs like the apocalypse is tomorrow. 🥩🥛🥚😂

Still not using pronouns. Still questioning the narrative. And DEFINITELY still not blindly trusting ANYTHING the government tells us. 🤣👀🇨🇦

I ask questions. I go down rabbit holes. I like having conversations that make people ask questions. And I'm perfectly okay with agreeing to disagree.

If any of this sounds like you, we might just get along. 😂🐇🕳️

I'M LOOKING FOR MY PEOPLE. WHERE YOU AT?! 👇🩷

Let's be friends. 🤣💕

Sometimes, when I find myself in certain situations, I have to stop and say…

“LINDA, DON'T BE CRAZY!” 🤦‍♀️😂

The only problem is… MY NAME ISN'T LINDA. 🤣

So, you know what? I'm done talking myself out of things.

TODAY, WE'RE GETTING ON THAT CRAZY TRAIN! 🚂💨

CHEW CHEW, MOTHERCLUCKERS! 😂🐔

🚨 LET ME ASK YOU SOMETHING… COULD YOUR FAMILY SURVIVE 90 DAYS WITHOUT THE GROCERY STORE?

What would you do if the power went out, the water stopped running, the internet went down, and you couldn't just run to the store for what your family needed?

Have you ever really thought about it?

Here on our 80-acre ranch in Manitoba, self-sufficiency isn't just a trendy word. It's a way of life. We raise animals, grow food, preserve what we can, and do our best to be less dependent on running to the store every time we need something.

And no, I'm not saying the world is ending tomorrow. I'm saying being prepared is a whole lot better than being caught off guard.

Remember when we thought the world would shut down for two weeks?

Life has a way of reminding us that things don't always go according to plan.

So here's my question…

🌾 Do you have enough food and water to get your family through a few days? A few weeks? A few months?

🔦 Do you have flashlights, batteries, first-aid supplies, and a way to stay warm if the power goes out?

🐓 Do you know how to grow food, preserve it, or make do with what you have?

You don't need 80 acres, a barn full of animals, or a basement packed to the ceiling to start preparing. Start small. Build your supplies a little at a time. Learn some skills. Make a plan.

PREPARATION ISN'T PANIC. IT'S COMMON SENSE.

I believe God calls us to use wisdom, not live in fear. We can't predict tomorrow, but we can take responsibility for what we do today.

And living out here has taught me one thing: you don't appreciate self-sufficiency until you really need it.

👇 NOW I'M CURIOUS… BE HONEST!

If the stores closed tomorrow and the power went out, how long could your household manage on what you already have?

24 hours? Two weeks? Three months?

Let's talk about it! 👇🌾
