Another FYI!!⚠️

🚨🐶🐱 EUROPE BANNED TITANIUM DIOXIDE FROM ANIMAL FEED! YET BRANDS LIKE HILL’S, MILK-BONE & TEMPTATIONS STILL LIST IT IN SOME OF THEIR PET FOODS!

Why is this concerning?

🔬 Studies raise questions about DNA DAMAGE, PRECANCEROUS INTESTINAL CHANGES & DISRUPTED GUT BACTERIA!

And here’s the surprising part: Titanium dioxide provides ZERO nutritional benefits to your dog or cat. It’s a coloring agent used to make food look more appealing!

WHAT DOES THE RESEARCH SHOW?

🧬 DNA DAMAGE CONCERNS: In 2021, the European Food Safety Authority concluded that titanium dioxide could no longer be considered safe as a food additive because potential damage to genetic material couldn’t be ruled out. The EU subsequently prohibited its use in animal feed.

🚨 PRECANCEROUS CHANGES: A peer-reviewed study published in Scientific Reports found that food-grade titanium dioxide was associated with early precancerous changes and intestinal inflammation in rats.

🦠 DISRUPTED GUT BACTERIA: Research published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry found that titanium dioxide nanoparticles reduced beneficial gut bacteria, including Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium, and increased intestinal inflammation in mice.

🩸 BLOOD SUGAR DISRUPTION: A 2025 study published in Food and Chemical Toxicology found that titanium dioxide nanoparticles disrupted blood sugar regulation and reduced important gut hormones involved in appetite and digestion.

🐾 SO WHY IS IT STILL IN PET FOOD?

Titanium dioxide is still permitted as a coloring additive in North America, and some products from Hill’s, Milk-Bone and Temptations have listed it among their ingredients.

THIS ISN’T ABOUT FEAR-MONGERING. IT’S ABOUT EDUCATION AND ASKING PET FOOD MANUFACTURERS TO DO BETTER!

Pet parents deserve transparency about what’s going into their animals’ food.

When an ingredient provides no nutritional benefit and raises legitimate scientific safety concerns, it’s reasonable to ask:

WHY IS IT NECESSARY IN THE FIRST PLACE?

Our dogs and cats deserve better. 🐾❤️

CHECK YOUR PET’S INGREDIENT LABELS AND SHARE THIS TO HELP EDUCATE OTHER PET PARENTS!

5.5 weeks old of pure sweetness The BLACK out CREW- this is the best age🥰- we are rowdy, showing off and drive levels are solidifying. We love to play, love our toys and swarming our human mamma for lots of nibbles and cuddles is pretty sweet too. We are all gorgeous and doing very well with potty training as we continue our desensitizing journey. Next up is the hair cuts and vet visit😍

LOYALTY. Almost 9 years old, 7 moves, countless miles, and a thousand adventures woven into one beautiful journey together. 🌟❤️

From the northern to southern Ontario, to the wide-open country fields that we know best, and to every horse show in between, Zara has been my steadfast shadow and brightest constant.

She has stood beside me through every chapter, thick and thin—my protector when the world felt uncertain, the one who can read people like no one else, my best friend in every season, my constant companion on every road, and my true soul dog.
Her love has followed me like a faithful star, unwavering through every mile and every change conquered. She was the start to what all of you know today, Canadian Shield Cane Corso, and forever the face in my logo.

I would do anything for her, just as she has given me her whole heart, her endless devotion, and everything she is.

Here’s to more loyalty, love, and memories still to come with the best QUEEN. 👑💞🐾
