Meet Theo! The sweetest baby kitten weighing in at .85 of a kilo! This little grey/silver Tabby had no problem exploring the exam room, basically weighed himself and then sat on his own paperwork! He loved to play with the toys provided and swooned all the girls. Excited to have you part of our Watzin fam!

Happy Birthday to Maisie!🐶🎂
Our resident treat tester (Hypo or cheese only please) turned 8 today! Maisie comes to work every day with her mama Chantelle and helps her do her work by managing the inventory count and stocking the food orders. Her side duties include supervising guinea pig nail trims and being an emotional support aid for stressed pets that need a little reassurance when coming to the treatment room. Maisie has been a working gal since she was a baby dog and enjoys having all her aunties feed her snacks when she comes up to the scale. When she’s had a long day, you’ll find her napping under the cat food shelf in her cozy bed, or she can be found lounging on the couch on her lunch break. Let’s all wish Maisie an extra happy birthday today!

Bosco, a friendly 3 year old German Shepherd came in to see us for an exam but couldn’t leave without picking out a toy. He chose the Wild knots Bear toy and carried out to his car! Who’s a good boy!?

Always fun to have Millie visit! A few paw tricks for some hypo treats is the way to this girls heart! She is full of love and loves saying hello to everyone when she comes in. Hive five little Millie!

📣 MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Our next Blood Donor Clinic is Thursday August 14th at Watzin Veterinary Clinic from 1:30pm-7:00pm!

🐕 We are proud to be partnering with the Canadian Animal Blood Bank - a not-for-profit organization that saves the lives of dogs across Canada by leading education in transfusion medicine and making the highest quality blood available to veterinarians and dog owners. The Canadian Animal Blood Bank is now operating in 5 provinces across Canada (Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, British Columbia, and Alberta).

🩸 What are blood donations used for?
Cancer Therapy Support
Rat Poison Toxicity
Anemia, Parvovirus infections, and Von Willebrand's disease
Surgery and times of trauma
Immune mediated diseases

🩸 We are looking for volunteer donors! Who is eligible to donate?
1) Between 1-8 years of age
2) Weigh over 55 lbs (25kg)
3) Up to date on vaccinations
4) Even temperament 🙂
5) In good health as deemed by your primary care veterinarian

Important Notice! This Saturday (July 26) Watzin Veterinary Clinic will only be open for food and/or preordered medication pickups. We will NOT be booking any doctor’s appointments this day. New medication requests can still be made for refills, however no NEW requests will be filled Saturday. New requests can be picked up Monday or later once a doctor has approved your request and you have been notified for pickup. Saturday hours are 8am-3pm.

Wishing Sullivan a speedy recovery from his neuter this week! How cute is he with with his watermelon cloud collar on :) Not only will it help him stay away from his incision site, it also makes an incredibly cute fashion statement. Considering his pose and his direct eye contact with the camera, I’d say he knows how cute he looks 😻😩💕
