This year we were able to take 2 of our 2026 fillies. The first filly by Tonjes 459 AA and out of Sita received a 2nd premie. The second filly by Sepke 549 AAA and out of our new Model Pref Prest AA mare Gerlinde also receiving a 2nd premie. ⭐️SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT⭐️

KLB Friesians is proud to announce that KFPS Approved Friesian Stallion Tonjes 459 Sport AA has officially joined our breeding program.

This is a truly special milestone for our family, and we are incredibly honoured to welcome Tonjes to KLB Friesians. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Jack & Margaret Vanderkooy for entrusting us with such an important part of their breeding program. We are grateful for your confidence in our family and are committed to continuing Tonjes’ legacy.

“Jack Vanderkooy and family are happy to announce that Tonjes 459 Sport has moved to a new home and is now owned by Kashtin Lang and family of Walkerton, Ontario. For the entire 16 years that we have owned him, Tonjes has been a complete gentleman as a stallion. In this time he has sired foals in Canada, Europe and the USA, with the past number of years standing at our stable here at Kettle Creek Friesians. We will certainly miss his gentle presence, but the time has come for us to downsize our Friesian horse activities. We have complete confidence that Tonjes still has some productive years ahead of him and that he will be on the receiving end of plenty of love and affection at his new home. Congratulations to the Lang family!”

He’s already settled in—and it’s safe to say he’s being thoroughly spoiled by three little girls who are convinced a real-life unicorn has arrived at our farm.

Stall is all cleaned, bedded up and hay is full. We are ready for a very special addition to KLB Friesians this coming Saturday Aug 22.
Being a small breeder is one thing but getting recognition and respect is another. We are very excited to put our small breeding program on the map even a bit more. Stay tuned for the update!!
