What an incredible day! We couldn’t be more proud of our team who came in second place!
Every member of our team worked extremely hard and Town Council also took notice of Emma King and Magan Rees who received a special mention filling three dump trucks themselves!

Huge kudos to Jaqueline Murphy who’s idea this was but also for how she managed everything giving all the teams names with team posters creating interest, competition, looking after team registrations, prize donations and fun with her treasure hunt.
Kept everyone informed, made sure everyone had supplies etc….and how she continued to grow her idea with the help of others in the community. 1143 bags of trash filled through this fantastic event🙀
Last but not least, thank you to Town Council who provided a lot of the supplies and put on a great BBQ with awards and prizes.
Congratulations again to everyone who participated, Bell Island is definitely the winner today!❤️❤️❤️🐈🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛

We are so proud to be part of the biggest clean up initiative in the history of Bell Island. The big day is May 31, but all the teams have been busy this week and already over 455 bags have been filled with garbage. Neighbours are talking to each other, working together and some people are even making new friends. Community pride is at its highest and it’s beautiful to see.😻
Tons of businesses and individuals have also donated toward amazing prizes…
Congratulations to everyone participating!👏🏻

WHY GET YOUR FEMALE CAT SPAYED?
Preventing kittens from being born is a great reason but not the only reason…
We just saved a life this morning, dr Mo is awesome!
Pyometra is a silent and deadly disease. There are two kinds, both deadly….and your female cat can get it at any age even as young as 5-6 months of age when they reach sexual maturity.
In plain English, the uterus is infected and produces a great amount of pus growing the uterus many times it’s size until it ruptures and kills the cat.
As you know all our adopted kittens come back to get spayed/neutered once they reach 5-6 months of age. This little kitten was adopted back in January and came in to get spayed this morning. Her uterus is already several times the size it should be. Getting spayed this morning SAVED HER LIFE❤️❤️‍🩹❤️🙏🏻🐈🐈

Look who it is! Scoob!
Remember the little traumatized kitten who had witness his momma get mauled to death by a large dog a few months ago?
We made sure to adopt him out in a house with no dogs. We also wanted to make sure he’d have a buddy…
He just found his new bed. He’s living his best life and we are so happy for him❤️❤️❤️🐈

It is with a heavy heart we inform you Earl crossed the rainbow bridge on Thursday night and was put to rest yesterday. He was too far gone when we got him, he weighed less than 2 pounds.
Earl lived to be 11-13 years old which is quite rare for a cat living outside especially in Newfoundland weather. He was well known, recognized by many…
A cat living outside in Newfoundland on its own fending for itself will live 2-5years if they survive kittens stage.
Cats living outside in Newfoundland being fed daily and provided with an outdoor shelter can live to be 10-15 years old.
Rest easy special boy💔🥀🙏🏻

Paddy went back again to the clinic for bloodwork earlier this week. We got bad news….
He is very diabetic. Normal blood sugar level is 6, his blood sugar level is at 24😿
We can lower his blood sugar level by cutting out kibble and feeding him high protein low carb wet food but he will also need insulin.
He is enjoying life so much, the life he should’ve had all along….what can we do?💔😿
