Meet Cindy, the white chihuahua (mix) playing with her pooch pals at Julia's home in Guanajuato. Cindy will travel to Victoria, BC mid-November and be looking for a foster to adopt or forever home. Female spayed, approximately one year old, full vetted, spayed, blood/urine analysis done, blood parasite/heart worm test negative, wormed, flea/tick prevention. Not yet tested with cats.

I'd like to thank everyone who has shared Goose's story. Hopefully, somewhere, someone special will read his full story and offer to help. In the meantime, here is a short video of Goose recently on hiking journeys with his current foster, as well as him in 2019 when he first arrived in Victoria. I hope someone can see the good in him.
If you feel you might have some interest in him please, please read his full story. His new home will need to fulfill certain requirements and understand that he has a bite history. He is not for everyone and he needs a savvy home that can make boundaries clear to him. Tentatively crossing my fingers for him.

LOOKING FOR A RIDE FOR GOOSE Unfortunately, it’s time to look for a ride to Mexico for our Mr. Goose ☹️ where he will return to live out his life at the home shelter he came from, in Guanajuato.

If you happen to be flying from Victoria direct to Puerto Vallarta after November 1st or Vancouver direct to Mexico City any time, we can use your help. Goose would ride in the cargo hold of your flight. Let us know, and we’ll get him prepared for all that is necessary, pay for his space and figure out the logistics. We will assist with his check in and a representative will meet you at the arrival airport
We’ve tried, Goose. I’m sorry. That special person who could provide you with a lasting forever home hasn’t appeared yet, and you just cannot be fostered forever
This will be a first in our 25 years of operation that it has come to this. A sign of the times🤔

Goose is a silly, smart, and tenacious Corgi Mix dog longing for a home that will provide him with the structure and consistency he needs.

Our vision for Goose is in a home with someone that can provide him with attention, boundaries and physical and mental stimulation. He would do great with a fair, but firm, man or woman that doesn't let him get away with his BS (boundary shoving😆).

That is what got him into trouble with his last "mom". 🙁 He needs clear rules and boundaries or he will create his own. Once the rules are clear for him he is a great little dog.

He would do well as an only dog, but could also be with a mature female dog. A meet and greet can be facilitated for this. No children or cats please.

Goose is not a candidate for the dog park, however, he can be off leash in quieter areas or out hiking, and with the use of an e-collar he has 💯recall.

History:
Goose was rescued six years ago in Guanajuato, Mexico.
After his arrival in Victoria, he received "board and train" with Mission Accomplished Dog Training as well as occasional boarding with them during his adoption period. After six years with the family, and unfortunately failing to provide him with his needs, Goose was returned to us. He was very protective of his "Mom" and with the arrival of a new baby it proved to be too much for his people.
