Meet Mochi and learn about how our friends at TELUS Health MyPet app helped her.💜

When Mochi got an ear infection and couldn’t stop scratching, her guardian was looking for some help that would be simple and stress-free, as Mochi wasn't feeling well.

They booked an appointment with TELUS Health MyPet right from the phone. Both Mochi and her guardian connected with a vet, uploaded a photo of Mochi’s ear, and were able to pick up the prescription soon after. Mochi started feeling better quickly. It was reassuring to have that kind of care when it was needed most. Mochi's Guardian now knows they can get trusted veterinary care without having to leave the house.

🐾 BC SPCA friends and family in British Columbia can get 25% off one virtual vet or vet tech appointment for their dog or cat.

Use the code BCSPCAFF at checkout in the TELUS Health MyPet app. Offer valid through December 31, 2025.

🔥 Wildfire season is here—and once again, animals are being left out of emergency plans across most of Canada.

More than 60% of Canadian families have pets. Yet, in many provinces, animals still aren’t included in emergency response planning—putting lives at risk and creating heartbreaking consequences.

We’re teaming up with Humane Canada to urge the federal government to:
✅ Include animals in ALL emergency plans
✅ Support evacuees with pets
✅ Equip first responders with the tools to protect people and animals
✅ Provide pet-inclusive services during crises
✅ Recognize animal welfare groups as essential in emergency response

👉 Sign the federal petition by October 9, 2025: https://ow.ly/nTr750WKpS6

📧 Don’t forget to confirm your signature via the email you’ll receive!

📣 PLUS: With MPs back in their ridings for the summer, now is the time to take action. Call, email, or meet with your MP and tell them why animal protection matters—from ending the live horse export trade to banning cruel fur farms. Find your MP here: https://ow.ly/VhO650WKpS5

Meet Ginny 🖤🐱

Ginny is a quiet, sensitive soul who is looking for a very special home-one that is calm, predictable, and patient. Ginny is learning to trust people and starting to really enjoy pets and chin scritches.

Ginny isn’t looking for much-just a quiet space and a kind person with a warm heart willing to let her be exactly who she is. If you believe every cat deserves a chance, even the shy and misunderstood ones, Ginny might be the perfect match for you. It’s hard to imagine a creature more vulnerable than a newborn kitten. But sometimes, the most fragile lives are also the fiercest. Alone in the world at just a day or so old, this little soul and his two siblings were lucky to be found by a kind animal-lover. Scattered across a scrap yard in different locations, it was clear their mother must have been in great distress. She’d left her babies at their most vulnerable and was nowhere to be seen despite extensive efforts to find her. The scrap yard worker knew there was no time to lose and carefully collected the three tiny kittens into the best carrier he could find – a Becel margarine container!

With everything stacked against the little kitten, this sweet one fought to hold on, and now with your support, he doesn’t have to fight alone. Share your compassion now:

Penelope is a gentle and loving rabbit looking for a home where she can feel safe and comfortable! She came from living outdoors with many rabbits but has adapted well to her indoor space. Penelope has been a gem with her litter box training! She is now almost completely litter trained making her a very clean companion.

Though she was housed with another rabbit previously, Penelope now seems to prefer having her own space. She may be able to bond with another rabbit in the future, but introductions would need to be done slowly and carefully.

If you’re looking for a wonderful rabbit to welcome into your home, Penelope would love to meet you! 💕

**Remember this handsome guy?** 🐾💙

He was found roaming alone. He had no ID, wasn’t neutered, and was clearly out of his element. But thanks to the incredible efforts of our compassionate community, he was safely brought to the BC SPCA. 💛

Fast forward to today… he’s **adopted** and already making himself right at home! 😻 From terrified and lost to cozy and confident, he’s now living his best life—exploring, relaxing, and soaking up the love.

A huge thank you to his amazing adopter for giving him a second chance, and to everyone who played a part in getting him to safety. It truly takes a village. 🏡✨

Just look how cozy he is now! 🥹💤

❤️ : Blueberry!

We are so happy to announce the adoption of sweet Blueberry, who was rescued from an unimaginable situation with other cats and young kittens.

His new guardian wrote:
"On the left is the first photo I had ever seen of him and was taken roughly around the time he was rescued. My poor little guy was full of ringworm, fleas, and unfortunately was the most malnourished of the cats & kittens that were rescued. On the right is one of the most recent photos of him… the only thing he is full of now is cuddles and churu.

Big shout out to all that rescuers and vets do for little guys like this. Without them, I would never have the most cuddly, loveable little guy in my life."

Thank you for giving Blueberry the second chance he needed to receive the home of this dreams. 💙

💔A broken hip is holding back this curious pup! Sweet Tofu is a rambunctious, outgoing and energetic three-month-old French Bulldog who took playtime a little too hard and landed himself with a painful break in his hip from falling. This poor, sweet puppy adores exploring, but his world is quite limited right now as he awaits surgery. Thankfully, he’s also an excellent snuggler who loves nothing more than being showed with love. This patient boy is putting on a brave face, but we’re confident that post-op he’ll be able to get back to enjoying new experiences.

Little Tofu requires hip surgery, post-op care, bloodwork, careful monitoring and neutering before he’ll be ready to find his loving, forever home.

Could you help this playful pup get back on his paws? Please share your love with him today by contributing towards his medical care:

Meet lovely Nina,

This gorgeous, affectionate lady absolutely adores humans and will have a full conversation with you as you do household errands. She has become somewhat of an employee at the SPCA, as we pull up a spare office chair for her to sit in next to us as we work (she’s been a great supervisor, not a micromanager at all!) Nina is currently on a weight loss plan until she reaches her ideal weight. Her big heart and bigger personality makes her the Queen of the castle and prefers to be the only cat of the household. Come in and meet Nina! Learn more about Nina at https://ow.ly/Il4x50WHJEZ. | BC SPCA Sea to Sky ❤️

Nothing puts a smile on our face the way an adoption update does ♥️. Knowing an animal you've cared for and rooted for settled in a loving home, it's the best! Do you remember sweet Talula?
Her pawrents wrote in to update us about this spunky girl and he couldn't be happier:

"We just wanted to reach out and say a heartfelt thank you for all the care and support you gave Talula (now Ellie) throughout the adoption process and in helping us bring her home.
It’s been a week since she joined our family, and we wanted to share a little update with you!
- Ellie is our little wild child! She is full of personality and energy and is constantly making us laugh. We are working on some basic manners currently to help her succeed (potty training, crate training etc), but overall she’s settling in well. She is a very intelligent dog and we are seeing more and more of that with every day that passes.

A big concern we had was that our dog Ruby wasn't going to be ok with a new pup around the house. It took about two and a half days of separation and slow introductions, but we’re happy to announce that Ruby and Ellie are turning into the best of friends. Ruby is very calm and has so much patience with Ellie. They play, share toys, nap together, and walk on a leash together with no problems after less than a week! Ruby still has the occasional moment where she lets Ellie know she’s had enough, and we are working with Ellie to respect those boundaries when they come up.
I have included some pictures of Ellie and our girls together for you to enjoy. Again, thank you so much for caring for Ellie until we could bring her home with us. We are so appreciative of the work that the SPCA does for animals in need."
